He wasn't interested in hearing why I was there
I contacted this Orthopedic surgeon's office to get a second opinion about an MRI that I believe showed an injury from a previous physician.I spoke to his staff and asked if he would be open to that. They checked with him and said he'd be happy to help.I had the MRI sent over, but when I met with the doctor, he wasn't interested in going over the MRI with me. I mentioned it about four times that that is what I came for. All he wanted was to examine and convince me I needed a hip replacement.Doctors are supposed to care about what patients are needing and wanting. He just interrupted me when I tried to explain. He acted like he couldn't care less. He was just there to sell hip replacement surgery.Unless you're going there to see him for that, I would avoid him. He's not likely to listen to anything you have to say.

Review From a 71 Year Old Male (HIP)
Dr. Michael Seel, his physician assistant Taylor Callahan , scheduler Carol Kelly, and the rest of the staff at FryeCare Orthopedics were outstanding and provided me with the necessary skills and technology to replace an arthritic hip that has bothered me for over 5 years.I chose Dr. Seel because of his personality, experience, and the fact that Dr Seel was a Mako SmartRobotics surgeon. The MAKO technology I believed would add to the success and precision of a hip replacement. As Dr Seel educated me the Mako SmartRobotic had many pluses but the #1 plus is the Mako technology reduces the dislocation rate of the new Hip ball from a 5% to a 1% dislocation rate. For me 1% is better than a 5% potential. Also Check out Talk To Docs on youtube for instructive videos about HIP and knee surgery.Thank you and I wish you well if you chose Dr. Seel to, and I quote him, “fix you up”.

Knowledgeable
Dr Seel took more than adequate time to discuss my situation. I have issues with both of my knees for long time. He examined the knee physically and discussed the issue with me in detail after the exam and looking at the x-ray. He was very personable and calming. He discussed the various options; including continuing with what I am doing currently and its effect, advantages, and disadvantages. I really appreciated his openness, discussion about the details of my situation and treatment options, pre-surgery preparations and post-surgery cautions.

Dr Seel is one of the best ortho surgeon I've had. He is experienced, a perfectionists, skilled surgeon and I wouldn't go to anyone else. He has done both knees and about to do a hip. I trust him with my life. Literally and Atilla is as equally as qualified in his role as a PA. Love em both!

Two and a half years after my replacement and still have pain in my knee. I’m sorry I had this done at least here I went to all pt but the pain is almost as bad as the other knee that needs replaced. My one night stay at wph was a nightmare.

Rude office staff. Felt very rushed during visits. Very poor communication in this practice. I felt the PA and Doctor to be arrogant. Would not recommend

I have been a patient for years. I did go to others doctors for 2nd opinions, and when Dr Seel changed practices and I lost track of him. No one else comes close. He is kind, friendly, and never rushes you. I absolutely trust him, and have had numerous procedures, including both knees replaced by him. He's a good guy.
