Waste of medical education
Condescending and flip attitude while we were trying to find out what was causing our child’s suffering. Not only didn’t he bother to do any testing but he wrote a report in his clinical notes which precluded anyone in the PCH system from helping .Worst doctor and hospital. We had to leave the state to finally get tests, a diagnosis and treatment.

I took my grandson to Dr. Michael Shishov for concerns about some abnormal lab work and symptoms he was having. I was worried the doctor would think I was dumb and overreacting for bringing my grandson in because 2 other doctors I had consulted made me feel that way, but he was the exact opposite. He listened to me, he asked relevant questions, he was patient, he reiterated back to me all of my concerns and then he told me what his opinion was and what his plan was for my grandson. I work in the medical field and I sincerely wish more doctors were like Dr. Michael Shishov. It is rare to find a doctor who honestly listens to you, makes sure he understands exactly what you said by saying it back to you, and then giving an honest opinion and plan. I never felt rushed or intimidated. He was great with my grandson too!

Wonderful Experience with a Great Doctor – Feb 17, 2022

My daughter who is 19, has been seeing Dr. Shishov for the past 7 years since being diagnosed with Lupus. Dealing with a chronic illness at such a young age is never easy but Dr. Shishov has been nothing but wonderful each step of the way. Not only has he gotten her medically stable, he has been nothing but patient and understanding in always answering our questions and in providing emotional support. As an RN, I have always had complete confidence in the care provided and highly recommend him.

My daughter was his patient back in 2014-2015 for JDM at Phoenix Children's Hospital. He might not be your warm and fuzzy kind of doctor, but he is intelligent and he listens to parents. He was able to see the severity of my daughter's conditions, explained the pros and cons of different approaches in seeking dx, then made a recommendation based on all the info. My daughter received a comprehensive care from him, and through his advocacy, from the hospital. I appreciate what he did for us.
