Outstanding Neurosurgeon!
I was diagnosed with an Acoustic Neuroma in December 2023. Upon receiving the diagnosis, I was filled with fear and uncertainty. A very good friend put me in touch with Dr. Sisti. From the moment my husband and I met with him he put us at ease. He was reassuring, kind and very thorough. His bedside manner is amazing, he has a great sense of humor and is very down to earth. He explained my diagnosis in detail and answered every question with patience easing my anxiety. With his exceptional technical skills, he successfully removed 100% of the tumor in February 2024. The surgery went really well and I had a smooth recovery. I spent 6 days in the neurosurgical unit at Columbia and an additional 5 days in the neuro rehab. I needed rehab because my balance was impaired after the surgery. The care I received was superb. I could not recommend anyone more highly than this brilliant neurosurgeon (and his entire team) to anyone in need of neurosurgical care. Thank you Dr. Sisti!

Thank you!
Being told you have to have surgery is scary. Dr. Sisti is personable, caring and knowledgeable. That was everything I needed in a doctor. I drove 4 hours to be seen and most definitely did not regret it! I would highly recommend if you have a colloid cyst! Thank you for saving my life!

Remarkable Neurosurgeon
I was diagnosed with a benign meningioma a number of years ago. I went to Dr. Sisti for treatment and it was the best decision I ever made.Dr. Sisti discussed 2 options for treating the meningioma.. surgical removal or gamma knife. He went over both options in detail and was very patient with me and my husband answering any and all of questions.I met with his team to go over the gamma knife procedure itself and felt like I was in the best hands possible. The procedure went well and today was my second follow-up with the great news that the meningioma had indeed shrunk and no brain swelling..Dr. Sisti presented the news in such a way as to make you feel just as excited as he was with the outcome! It is rare that you find a doctor with the knowledge, compassion and obvious love for his profession as Dr. Sisti!I would without hesitation recommend Dr. Sisti! I will forever be grateful..

I first met Dr. Sisti after reading an article he prepared prior to COVID 19. Upon finishing the article I knew Dr. Sisti was the doctor for me. I had a meningioma that was probably growing for the past 10 years. He explained exactly what he would do. I felt less stressed and less fearful after meeting with Dr. Sisti. His team is also very friendly and helpful. Dr. Sisti has a wonderful sense of humor. I had the procedure done with 2 nights in the hospital. Discharged on day 3. Would highly recommend Dr. Sisti.

Excellent and caring neurosurgeon
My experience with Dr. Sisti was very positive, for multiple reasons. When speaking with him about his assessment of my condition, and what his surgical approach would be, Dr. Sisti was very detailed and informative. He was incredibly respectful and very happy to answer any questions I had. I also very much appreciated Dr. Sisti's holistic approach; he had a clear plan to balance any potentially risky aspects of my surgery with the benefits of not taking those risks when it came to my ability to function after the surgery. By approaching my surgery in this way, I felt like he truly saw me as not only a patient needing neurosurgery, but also as a person with relationships and with a life. After I chose him as my surgeon, I was thrilled with the communications with his office and team. My surgery went wonderfully, and the care I received from him and his team and all others was fantastic. My recovery has been so much better than I would have hoped. I am so thankful for Dr. Sisti.

Meningioma removal 4/16/2023
I was diagnosed with a frontal lobe meningioma last year, that I apparently have had for several decades. Dr. Sisti explained that at my age (68) it was the right time to perform the removal surgery. From my first visit, through the surgery and beyond, Dr. Sisti made me feel safe and comfortable. He is kind, caring, and calming with an amazing bedside manner. The surgery was explained to me as if I were a family member. I am now 1 week post-op and feeling great, resuming my normal day-to-day activities. Dr. Sisti's entire staff should also be commended. Their professionalism, patience, and attentiveness helped relieve my anxiety during this incredibly stressful period. I would recommend Dr. Michael Sisti's Team to anyone requiring a neurosurgeon.

World Class Neurosurgeon
First off and most importantly, I am thrilled to say that my mother's surgery for removal of her large brain tumor was successful, and I am sure that Dr. Sisti played a significant role in ensuring the best possible outcome. Throughout my mother's treatment and post-operative care, Dr. Sisti demonstrated the highest level of professionalism, expertise, and compassion. From the start, he took the time to explain every aspect of the brain tumor (along with its corresponding pain) and informed everyone about what to expect. He made sure that everyone felt comfortable and helped to alleviate any anxieties or concerns, in part due to his positivity and confidence, with his ability to communicate complex medical information in a clear and understandable manner. In conclusion, I cannot recommend Dr. Sisti highly enough. He is an outstanding neurosurgeon who is dedicated to providing exceptional care to his patients. My mother was fortunate to have him as her surgeon.

My Hero is Dr Sisti
Back in 2009,I went to my ENT and was not feeling right,he sent me for MRI ,and I found out I had a Meningioma, and I started researching Dr's,and I found Dr. Sisti, I got an appointment with him. From the moment I walked into his office,I knew I was in good hands. My tumor was benign, and he advised to check it once a year. In 2016,I had my yearly MRI, then one had grown on the Optic Nerve ,and was not operable He advised he was going to try Gmanife, and the process started. I went to see Dr Tony Wang, first, and then I was scheduled for the surgery. It was a little scary, but I knew I was in good hands. Dr Sisti made me feel so safe, and I knew I was going to be ok. The procedure went well. I was back to work in a few days. I have yearly MRI's,and last year, after the 5 year mark,I am cured. Because of him,I am cured. I give him 100 stars. If you need a Dr,in his expertise,he is the one. The Best Ever! The hospital is aces as well. I was treated with such grace and respect.

Dr. Sisti and his team.
One thing I neglected to say was my complete confidence in Dr. Sisti's surgical skills. Under most circumstances, I might have been frightened to have such a serious surgery but I was sure that Dr. Sisti and his team were up to the task. Thank you to all of you for a job well done.

A Superb Physician - Recommended Enthusiastically
Dr. Sisti operated on my wife with consummate skill to remove a meningioma. Dr. Sisti's unsurpassed surgical talent is equaled by his terrific personality, his caring nature, his integrity, his generous commitment of time and his following his patient throughout the post-operative period. In short, he is an outstanding physician, both professionally and personally, and I could not recommend anyone more highly.

5 Stars isn't enough
7 years ago I had an acoustic neuroma. Dr. Sisti was the ONLY doctor to recommend the non invasive gamma knife surgery. I still can hear, have my balance and work out daily. If Bruce Springsteen, Bon Jovi and Elton John were rolled into one incredible talent Dr. Sisti would still dwarf their skills. He is an amazing world renown surgeon and expertise on the brain. If it were not for him I would have had a very different outcome. There should be 10 stars for this reviewThank You Dr. Sisti

THE BEST NEUROSURGEON IN NYC
Dr. Michael B. Sisti is a trustworthy, caring and amazing professional neurosurgeon. He cured me of a benign brain tumor that would have blinded me if I didn't have it removed. It was the size of a walnut! After interviewing 8 neurosurgeons in NYC and researching through the medical community, I struck GOLD by meeting Dr. Sisti and having him remove the meningioma that was producing mild and worrisome symptoms and aggressive growth. Not to mention knowing I had a brain tumor for so many years and horrific anxiety daily for was not just a threat to my vision but to my mental health. He treated me in the most courteous and respectful way. At the hospital for my first surgery, I was confident since I know he is a trailblazer with his precision surgery techniques and many decades of experience. You will love him and he's a communicator and very good man! His team also rocks. Great staff. I am so happy to live my life free from the anxiety since he evicted the squatter in my skull! LOL!

Mind Boggling Dr :)
Dr. Sisti is the most remarkably amazing Dr. I've ever met! Although I'd rather not go through a brain tumor again…;) Dr. Sisti was the best part of it!! From the start, Dr. Sisti was there for me and my family and gave us a pleasant experience. Unlike other Drs., which sometimes I feel like I'm burdening them by asking questions - from the beginning, I felt comfortable in his presence and in asking him questions or explanations. His bedside manners are excellent. Dr. Sisti and his team, specifically Connie and Natalie really cared for me and they helped me in every way. He went out of his way to explain to me in detail the diagnosis which was a very rare meningioangiomatosis, what to expect and how to care for myself after surgery. My surgery was very successful and today, 2.5 months after the surgery I feel better than ever, with absolutely no scar whatsoever. I'll forever be grateful to him and his amazing staff!

I was recently diagnosed with a meningioma and was told that surgery to remove it would be the appropriate next step. A Cat Scan of my head in an ER after a car accident found this tumor as an incidental finding that I had no idea I had. I scheduled Zoom visits with prominent Neurosurgeons and had 1 in-office visit. Of all the Neurosurgeons I spoke with Dr. Sisti made me feel the most comfortable, most calming, and the most knowledgeable regarding this scary diagnosis. I had the surgery in November and can’t say enough about his skill, professionalism, and his reassuring demeanor. I was walked through every step. Dr. Sisti made the incision within my hairline as he had said where no one would ever know I had this surgery and I will soon be back to work. I am forever thankful to Dr. Michael Sisti and his incredible Team for my Miracle and the Miracles he performs everyday in a number 1 hospital that I rate as 5 Stars. Most Sincerely from a very grateful patient, Linda S
