This was my primary doctor when he was in Charleston and he is fantastic. Very caring, thorough, and. Knowledgeable. Miss him very much. Any community will be lucky to have him.

I saw Dr. Steele when he was a primary care physician at MUSC. I became his patient by luck of the draw: I had gone to the MUSC ER (highly unusual for me, hadn't been to one since 1st grade when I broke my arm, and had always been healthy/did P90X workouts daily/ate a Whole Foods diet etc.) with a suddenly disabling & acute condition for which I ended up having multiple MRIs, CT scans, lab tests, and seeing multiple specialists, and the ER recommended getting a primary care doctor to help expedite things. Dr. Steele was first available and turned out to be EXCELLENT. He immediately set to work trying to determine the cause and was determined to get to the bottom of it. I had never seen a primary doctor take a patient so seriously. I was ultimately diagnosed with a rare condition but to my chagrin Dr. Steele left MUSC before I finished treatment. I thought so much him, though, I looked him up & am going to see if he'll continue to be my primary care doctor at his location in Walterboro.

Since I was born I’ve always gone to Dr. Flowers, but he wasn’t in today so I saw the first available doctor, Dr. Steele. He was great! He took his time asking me questions and listened to me.

Dr. Steele was our doctor for several years. He often seemed rushed, but he almost always nailed the diagnosis and was helpful with finding medications that are cost-effective. He was always prompt in replying when we had questions online, and he was patient with me and I know that can sometimes be tough! I'd recommend Dr. Steele. The only reason we're not with him anymore is because he is now at a different practice.

I went in a few weeks ago with Strep symptoms. Dr. Steele prescribed me a Z-pack. The appointment was $150 even after insurance, $250 before. 3 weeks later, I woke up with the exact same symptoms. I am a college student and I work part time so it is very difficult when I have to take time off. I called the office multiple times and Dr. Steele's response made it very obvious he hadn't even reviewed my chart. This was 3 weeks after I had stopped taking the antibiotics and he kept replying "give it another 10 days to work". I've never heard of a z-pack taking 35 days to work. I wanted to get a stronger dose of antibiotics since I had the exact same symptoms and was very sure it was strep. My roommate and mom had strep at the exact time as well. He refused to write a prescription unless I came in for another visit (next one wasn't available for 2 days) and would cost another $150. I explained my situation to almost every nurse. You would have thought I was trying to get narcotics prescribe
