Dr. Michael Sumida, MD

Have had 2 procedure’s with Dr. Sumida. He has always been very pleasant and precessional. I will always go to him for any surgeries he’s able to do.

We have used him twice and love him. He is a very skilled surgeon

Unfortunately I had Dr Sumida as my doctor first visit he wore no mask second and third visit I had to request he wear a mask notice still some office Personnel not wearing masks how disrespectful he has the empathy of 1 I told him of my ordeal when it came to my recovery he was more interested in getting me out of the visiting room I explained to him that I had absolutely no pain medicine whatsoever due to the insistence of two nurses that I still take the prescription I tried to point out to the nurses. It would make me vomit and being quickly rushed out after surgery and scent home to soon my recovery was excruciating when it came to his empathy it was still zero I don't understand when he has complaints like this as I seen his other reviews from other patients that are not happy with him why he has not been reprimanded something needs to be done

I had a terrible illness and had to go to the ER. I was not sure what doctor I would be seeing. I did not have a primary doctor. Dr Sumida was on call and he examined me. I had to have blood drawn and some tests. I ended up having my gallbladder taken out. He drew on the paper towel in the ER my gallbladder and explained what was going to happen. I think he did a great job. My surgery went well and I had no complications. I’m surprised that someone put he didn’t explain things and got upset if they asked questions. This was not my experience at all. I would definitely recommend him to my friends and family.

Dr. Sumida is fantastic. He tells you the truth and takes excellent care of you. He does what has to be done for you to get the best outcome. My second surgery and third time to be in his care. I highly recommend him.

Great Dr. and staff. Took great care of me before and after surgery.

Mother has had two occurrences of bowel obstruction and has been under the care of Dr Sumida each time. He is caring, through and doesn't rush into surgery unless it is absolutely necessary. He explains everything simply and is very personable. I'm so happy that he was on call the first time so that he became Mother's doctor.

Absolutely the worst Dr. I have ever encountered. He yelled at me for asking questions, about my back and stomach and demanded I leave his office. He didn't want me asking ANY questions. Was easily irritated. Didn't seem to care about me as a person. By far the worst doctor I have ever been to.

Very disappointed with this doctor. He is in too much of a hurry and does not explain what he is going to do. Does not explain after surgery either. Can't ask questions. Will not use again. I want questions answered. Come back in three years! I don't think so!

This doctor does not explain what he is doing. Gets aggravated if you ask him questions! Does not take time to talk with patient. He is not a people person at all.

This dr. May be good surgeon but does not care for his patients. Do surgery then he is done! Does not explain anything. Go somewhere else!
