Dr. Michael Thomas, MD

He is one of the worst Doctor that I have ever met in Emergency Visit that I did at Pottstown Hospital on December 22nd, 2024. I was there because of extreme pain in my right entire hand from shoulder till my hands, I could not even lift or move. They did some test, but when he came to see me, he is like just go home and take over the counter pain meds, I was like there must be something that happened, he did not say anything, I told him now what I am supposed to do, he is like this is how it is, you just live with it and he left and discharged me. I went home with exact amount of pain I had, waited for a week to go see the bone specialist to find out the issue, what a waste of my time and money to even go to ER if doctors like that just send us home right away without treating properly.Pottstown hospital need to up their game and take actions against these doctors who are there just to make money and do not care for patients. I wish I can give negative starts if I could.

I am a pharmacist, called Dr Thomas to discuss a prescription matter to help a patient in hardship.Dr Thomas didn't take the time to understand the concern, didn't accept recommendation to help the patient start the needed treatment and decided to hang up the phone. I believe Pottstown Hospital Managment should review all patient reviews seriously and address unacceptable behavior

This guy is a jerk for sure. Talk about god complex. From the second he met me he tone was horrible and they way he spoke to me as if I was stupid.

I will gladly add my name to this review, and I wish I had more space. This doctor, is hands down one of the rudest, most unprofessional individuals I have encountered in my 36 years, 25 of which I have spent chronically ill. He is a liar, he is accusatory, and he thinks that he provides something apparently no one else can and he cannot. After speaking with the hospital about my first interaction with him, after supposedly it was handled and he was reprimanded, I was at the emergency room and saw him again. He came in, said “we see nothing that makes us think it’s urgent enough for you to be admitted, we are discharging you to go home.” That was it and walked out. The nurse came in and informed me that what I needed to do was follow up with a specialist ASAP for an MRI. He’s a lousy excuse for a doctor and for a human being. He doesn’t care about people, at all.

All he did was do an X-ray on my ankle and offer Motrin!!! I specifically said pain and swelling and that it has gotten worse since Monday, and how warm my leg and knee felt. Doc ordered X-ray and that took 45 mins, I get that I’m not the only patient, but couldn’t check in to see if I was ok? Didn’t offer any pain relief what so ever. Then X-ray lady showed up, very sweet btw. Then waited another 40 mins to ask for the doc. Came in my room with an attitude and was like there’s nothing wrong with you’re ankle, so at this point you need to see your surgeon. Well he doesn’t take my insurance, so I asked are you going to check for cellulitis or blood clot? No, we can give you some Motrin. Then I said look in my chart I can’t take that stuff, he then said he did and accused me of a narcotic problem
