In 1986 I was a pt at the High Risk Clinic at UIHC. I was 39, first and only pregnancy. Dr Varner followed me through the entire pregnancy. Mine was a complicated case. I delivered a boy by last minute C-section due to high transverse lie with low placenta. My baby was fine. I developed complications. Dr Varner was an angel. Despite all of my problems, I felt safe, supported, and very well cared for throughout. Dr Varner was warm, caring, and extremely competent. Thank you very much, Dr Varner.
