I have nothing but good things to say about my experience with Dr. Vrabec and his staff. Start to finish the process went smooth and felt as comfortable as one can going through the anxiety of having eye surgery. Every detail was explained up front from his 5 star staff and the confidence and skill Dr. Vrabec displayed carried through to my successful laser surgical outcome. So far so good on the healing process.

Hello, my name is Timothy B, and I recently had a surgical procedure at Valley Eye Associates. I was apprehensive because I had traumatic healthcare experiences earlier in life. I made it a point to prepare before my appointments doing breathing practices, visualization and relaxation. It helped me tremendously go through the surgical procedure. After the surgery, I had almost no pain, or postoperative complications. There are a lot of postoperative instructions to follow, and I am lucky that my life partner was able to remind me and remind me and remind me... I appreciated the professionalism and experience of my ophthalmic surgeon Dr. Vrabec. His office staff made me feel welcome. And the surgical staff at ThedaCare, New London, Amber, Joe, Renee, Nicole and others treated me with skillfulness and kindness. So far, I am pleased with my outcome.

From my initial consultation to the follow up appointment after my Lasik surgery, everything about Valley Eye & Dr Vrabec's service was outstanding. The staff was always very friendly & Dr Vrabec's attention to detail did not go unnoticed. I would highly recommend them for all of your eye care needs.

Would recommend Dr Vrabec to anyone. I had my lasik surgery on Saturday morning. By Saturday afternoon I felt my vision was 100 percent there. Sunday morning went for the follow up and I was seeing 20/15 with easy! Been 22 years of glasses and contacts, it will be nice having the freedom going forward. Thanks Dr Vrabec and staff!

Dr. Vrabec and the entire staff at Valley Eye were very informative about the lasik proceedures, and risks. They were all extremley friendly and the whole expericnce I felt was proffessional, quick, amd caring. They made sure I was comfertable before and during the surgery. and also made sure my ride was available to pick me up after, also offering to walk me all the way to my car in the parking lot. 10/10 would recomend to anyone. I can't thank them enough.

From checking in for my cataract surgeries to post-op care, staff was kind, caring, informative and professional. I was kept informed every step of the procedure. Dr. Vrabec did an excellent job and my vision is better than it’s been in years. I highly recommend.

My eye surgery went perfectly.

I have had two cataract and corneal transplants in the last 5 months from Dr Vrabec and they yielded phenomenal results! I would recommend Dr Vrabec and his staff and rate them as top notch. Went from 20/80 vision with glasses in my right eye to 20/20 vision WITHOUT glasses!! The left eye was 20/60 with glasses and now as of today it's 20/25 WITHOUT glasses!! Have needed glasses all my life at the age of 46, but, not anymore!!! God bless Dr Vrabec and his staff and for your cornea and cataract needs, Valley Eye Associates is where you need to be!!

I'm 80 years old, and my optometrist recommended Valley Eye Associates for the cataract surgery that she had been encouraging me to have. I accepted her recommendation, even though it meant a 75 mile drive for the pre-op appointments and the surgeries. I elected the optional--and extra cost--laser surgery by Dr. Vrabec. The right eye was done first, and two weeks later the left eye. I now have 20/15 distance vision, as the surgeries corrected my myopia and astigmatism. Needless to say, I am very pleased with my optometrist for her recommendation and my decision to do as she suggested. Also, for those who might be interested, I elected to have the surgeries without the IV sedation. This, too, was a good decision. The surgeries were essentially painless, with very little post-op discomfort.

I wish I never did my lasik eye surgery with Dr. Vrabec. After the surgery I was having blurry vision throughout the day and a lot of issues with night vision. My vision has continued to get worse and I need glasses less than 1 year following the surgery. I also have a contact prescription but have issues with comfort and fit following the surgery so I cannot wear them everyday. I feel like I'm in a worse place now than I was prior to Lasik. For the consultations before the surgery you meet with multiple different Dr's (but not Vrabec) and it didn't feel like anyone was really invested or knowledgable about my eyes/health history. To this day, I haven't been able to meet with him even after he messed up my surgery. You are just a number at this place and I highly recommend against getting Lasik done with them.

Dr. Vrabec just completed cataract surgery in both of my eyes. Excellent surgeon. The staff was very professional and informative. Every step of the procedure was explained fully. The actual procedure is completed quickly. I postponed having cataract surgery a few years, after hearing the "horror stories" from friends and relatives. My mistake. The procedure went perfectly. Totally pain-free. My vision is crystal clear. When I look at a distance woods, I now can see the tree trunks, again. I should of had this procedure done years ago. Ron Feb 5, 2022

I had Lasix surgery done on both eyes. I could not be happier. I would recommend Dr. Vrabec to anyone. I truly have my eyesight back after many years. My experience with everyone was very professional, and such a friendly group of people. Thank you all.

I saw Dr. Vrabec for cataract surgery in both of my eyes. I had the standard procedure done, not lasik. I am beyond happy with my results!!! I now have the best vision of my entire life! The whole experience from pre-visit to the surgeries was a wonderful experience. I highly recommend Dr. Vrabec!

Everytime my mother had an appointment for her cataracts we could expect to wait at least 45min before getting in to see the Dr. I was told this is normal.

I had Lasik done on my left eye and very happy with the results. It's been a month and glad I got it done. I no longer need corrective lenses to fly airplanes and both eyes are 20/20. Dr. Vrabec did my surgery and he even called me the night prior to make sure I was ready and that's true customer service. Dr. Abata is my primary doctor and explained the process about what I would except and she was 100% correct. I would highly recommend Valley Eye Associates!

Awesome service from consult to post op. Very thorough with step by step instructions and what to expect. Dr Vrabec called me personally the night before the procedure to check in to see if I was ready for the next day. Him and his staff were great during the procedure. I highly recommend going with Valley Eye if your looking to pursue Lasik. No complaints at all: the staff at Valley Eye and Dr Vrabec go above and beyond for their patients. No regrets! Loving my 20/20 vision!

My one and only visit with Dr. Vrabec for cataract surgery, should have been my clue to go elsewhere. He was pre occupied with other patients and very brisk and impatient with me. I chose him because i have cornea issues and I researched his bio and this is one of his speciality areas. The surgery was on my better eye so it was imperative there be a good outcome. Not to be. My vision is now worse than before, less the cloudy cataract. If I wear contacts I’m ok with distance, but of course need strong readers. Vision with my glasses with progressive lens, is frustrating and distorted. The eye feels wobbly and the vision with no lens at all is troubling. So my good eye is now worse than my bad eye. Only good news is I choose not to have the surgery on the other eye immediately after the first surgery. I’m certainly apprehensive about the next surgery and researching for a competent doctor. Regret my decision to not follow my instincts.
