Dr. Michael Wierschem, MD

He has been my doctor for over 15 years. And i have gotten the best of care.

Dr. Wierschem has been my Urologist for more than 20 years and has helped me through two different bouts of kidney stones. Very friendly, efficient and I always know I am getting good advice. Dr. Wierschem has also helped my brother, father and my mother through issues with their kidneys and other urological issues. When my father in law went to see him, Dr. Wierschem noticed a potential cancer issue and gently let him know that he should immediately see an oncologist. His issue was stage 4 pancreatic cancer. I only wish he had gone to see Dr Wierschem a few years earlier when his problems first started. You cannot go wrong with Dr Wierschem.

Dr. Wierschem is awesome. I see him for testosterone treatment and he makes the bi annual appts easy and efficient.

Dr. Wiershem is outstanding. Very patient and thorough in explaining diagnosis, Potential procedures, etc. Gets A+

I visit Dr. Wierschem every year. Before I leave from an appointment, I have the next lab work and office visit scheduled. He has a great office manner and answers my questions, going into further detail if I don't understand or have more questions. I would recommend him to any of my friends.

Dr. Wierschem was very friendly and courteous and explained my current situation. He very patiently answered my questions and explained things I did not understand or had questions about.

He has a great bedside manner and very gentle. He said it would hurt and it would be over quickly. Both were accurate. I’m having very little discomfort and 1 day later and I’m back to doing me. Thanks

Wait time to be expected for any busy office. Front desk was welcoming and friendly. Dr. Wierschem took his time explaining my options, and answered all of my questions. His MA team was helpful and knowledgeable. Very pleased with my experience!

Dr. Wierschem and his staff are amazing, I went in for a check up on an issue I was having and the Dr. and staff were very attentive and polite. I would ask him or the staff an question and they always had an answer. I would highly recommend Dr. Wierschem.

No way would I recommend this doctor. Our visit with Dr. Wierschem was unpleasant. When my husband asked him a question, he said he would not answer ANY questions until test results were received because he wanted to get home to his family that evening. Testing took weeks to take place then another couple of weeks for date for results consultation. On day of scheduled consultation doctor's office called and canceled for another week. My husband asked the caller to ask the doctor if his cancer had progressed and should he be worried. Office called back and said the doctor said "you need to be worried." At this point we fired Dr. Wierchem. If you are looking for a doctor that will take his time with you, answer questions and have an ounce of compassion, Dr. Wierschem is not that doctor.

Dr Wierschem is an excellent physician. His work is superior. I prefer him to anyone else.

If you have cancer look elsewhere. Had CT prior to visiting Dr Wierschem. I had urethral kidney cancer. Within a two week period, I was told Dr Wierschem would schedule and install a temporary ureter, and would order an MRI for further diagnosis. Felt uncomfortable with this. Went to UTSouthwestern. In 2 weeks, had an MRI, indicating the kidney needed to be removed (didn’t put in a temporary ureter) a port put in for chemo, and had my first round of chemo in the same 2 week period. I have now finished chemo and had my kidney removed. My stage 4 cancer is no longer visible. Based on the speed of treatment at Baylor Scott and White, I probably be dead at this point if I had stayed with them.
