Follow up to first review after second opinion
This is a follow up review to one I posted about a month ago, but funny, my review wasn’t posted to the public. I had cataract surgery in august. I was told before hand that I have dry eyes. Dr Wild did not address this before my surgery; which I later found that cataract surgery should NOT be performed until that issue is resolved. I noticed an issue right after my second eye was done. I complained at least three times that my vision was worse and that I never had triple vision before the surgery. I was told it was only dry eye and told to use drops 4 times a day. After the last visit I felt like I was being treated with a lack of respect and belittling my condition. I sought a second opinion. Come to find out that the lens was not centered on my eye. Now I’m not saying this was done with neglect, but after all the complaints I made you would think a more thorough exam and diagnosis would be made. I now have to have another surgery that is more complicated than the cataract surgery .

Mean and hateful
In the spring of 2020, right after the world went crazy, i went to Dr. Wild for possible pink eye. It actually wasn't. We had a bad bathroom fire in my office, which i later found out, had made many people similarly sick. But, i went to see Dr. Wild, knowing he's been around for many years. (And ive been a nurse in Kokomo for 30 years) He took one look at my eyes ( plural) and freaked out. He got angry. He started ranting about me possibly having covid. ( I did not have covid. Had antibodies tested months later, out of curiosity, and didn't get covid for 2 years) But anyway, he backed way up, got smart and yelled, " How do you know you don't have covid!?" He gave me meds that did nothing, and told his staff, " She doesn't need to come back!" I asked, "Don't i need a follow up??" He said, "She can come back in a year", and he walked off. I felt like crying, and i am not an emotional person. How do i treat my own eyes? Thank God for the ENT, who helped me.

Went to new Dr. Wild for exam and had a new prescription written for new glasses. Found there were wrong for me after going to Costco's. Went back to Dr. Wild's office for new script as Costco's said they would make me new glasses at no cost if I got a new exam. Found out I was charged $50 as my insurance would not cover. Why should I have to pay for something that was wrong from the start. Called the office and left a message about the charge and never heard back.

1. Be ware if you have medical insurance. They do not bill correctly and try to make you pay for something your insurance owes 2. Beware if you move and want your records transferred. They will tell you one thing then call and change what needs to be done. 3. Dr. Wild is a good eye md but they need more professional staff (feel like they are moving a herd of cattle when you go to their office)

Dr. Wild removed cataracts from both my eyes. The surgery was simple and fast, relaxed, and totally pain free. I think it took about five minutes...seemed to go very fast. Now I can see 20/20 and need readers only for the smallest print, 1.50 readers. I was treated very well at his office by all and he was very friendly and informative. I am just thrilled with seeing the world with "new eyes." I highly recommend him as well as his office in general as the staff was terrific.
