Dr. Michael Zahn, MD

Dr. Zahn may be a good surgeon, but he isn't very interested in his patients. I saw him a total of 10 minutes prior to the surgery and never saw him after it. I assume he operated. I was very disappointed with his lack of concern about my wellbeing. This is my second review; I don't think the first one was recorded.

I have been extremely pleased with the results of my knee replacement recently. Dr Zahn was very professional. Hamilton hospital was very clean and well organized. The nurses were all kind and professional as well. I never felt ignored. My husband is having knee replacements next and I find these are the only doctors and hospital we would use.

He did my hip replacement 3 years ago,hes an excellent Dr. He listened to me & took all my needs serious. I've been going to Hamilton orthopedics and I havent had one bad visit & I have many issues. Down to the secretary being her awesome self (Connie) and Hamilton hospital was the best aswell.

Dr. Zahn has successfully replaced both of my knees in the past year. The experience has been positive in each case. He is personable, knowledgeable, and compassionate. His staff have been courteous and efficient. I highly recommend Dr. Zahn.

Dr, Zahn and the entire network were very detailed about the procedure, pre-op, and pot-op. There were no surprises. I was nervous about the surgery (my first one) but always felt like I was in capable hands. All staff members were friendly and helpful.

Dr Michael Zahn and his entire team were professional, thorough, respectful, courteous. They responded quickly to questions, phone calls and emails. I would highly recommend him in the future and will return to have my other knee replaced next year.

I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Zahn. At first I was unhappy about a lot of rules and preparation and the required outpatient post op physical therapy not required by other surgeons. I really wanted to exercise on my own. However, I believe that structure like that has helped me progress as quickly as I have. I also highly recommend patient participation in his online GetWell Loop. It is an excellent resource and provided me with valuable post operative information and reminders.

Total Right Hip Replacement

I had a total knee replacement. The experience was quite positive. Dr. Zahn has developed a system that is designed to keep the patient informed and involved from pre-surgical preparation to post-surgical rehabilitation. Community Memorial Hospital itself is in need of renovation but the nursing and PT care is terrific. I'm glad I made the choice to go with Dr. Zahn, his team, nd CMH.

Pre-op visits, arrival at hospital, operation and discharge all handled considerately, rapidly, efficiently. Outcome was excellent. Dr. Zahn is just an excellent orthopedic surgeon.

Very likely. My experience has been very positive from the first visit. All involved were very efficient and friendly. Very clear on what was needed from me and what I could expect pre op and post op. Hospital staff and care was also excellent and personal.

I appreciated Dr. Zahn's matter of fact manner and was impressed that he does not forget that, while he may have preformed the procedure hundreds of times, it is the patient's first experience and takes the time to explain everything in terms that are easily understood. His knowledge and mannerisms put me at ease. The staff of nurses at the hospital were the BEST!! They were at my side as soon as I rang for them. I cannot say enough good about my entire experience. Thank you Dr. Zahn and your team for all you did to get me through this.

Dr. Zahn replaced my right hip two weeks ago, and thus far, rehab has been very smooth. I am so happy I had the procedure done so I can be pain free with every step! Thank you Dr. Zahn!
