Dr. Michael Zaki, MD

Dr. Zaki is likely a good doctor but the South Florida ENT Associates is a terribly managed office, with under qualified staff that cannot get simple tasks properly accomplished, and rude to add insult to injury. On my first visit, the staff made me wait 2 hours past my appointment time, of which 30 minutes were waiting inside the room waiting for Dr. Zaki. Once he came in, he was nice and thorough but did not take longer than 5 minutes with me. I was a new patient. On the second visit, I came in for a simple hearing test. I was made to wait 1.5 hours after my appointment time. Again I asked what was the hold up, and as in the first visit, the answer was that the doctor was 'backed up....' Hence, they appear to routinely overbook him. The test took 7 minutes. So the amount of wasted time for me when visiting Dr. Zaki's office in not worth the effort; he is good but there are many like him all over Miami.

Dr. Zaki was very caring, compassionate, Informative n dedicated to my well being throughout my whole Inspire presentation op, operation n follow up. Right after operation I had some concerns n he called me right away from his personal number. I trust him completely n he did a fantastic job on my surgery. I recommend him with my eyes closed. His staff was very nice n helpful.

Dr. Michael Zaki reviewed an ultrasound that was taken of my thyroid and decided that he did not need to share with me that I had TWO tumors... I had to ask to read the radiology report for myself to learn that, almost three weeks later. Despite not acknowledging the gross negligent oversight, he refused to give me a referral to get it biopsied for cancer. I am not sure what type of clinician can be so poorly trained as to (1) not disclose medical information to the patient (or miss it entirely) but also (2) to make it difficult to take the appropriate next steps to diagnose the issue. Anything above acid reflux is beyond the scope of his abilities and I would highly consider going to a different provider.

Dr.Michaek Zaki is an excellent physician. After consulting over 10 doctors including a couple from his own ENT group, he has been the only physician to take the time to first of all truly listen, to have an open mind as to what my health condition could be and to be willing to help. He has the highest ethical standards in his profession, and a great insight of the human anatomy. With no doubt, I will recommend him to anyone seeking relief from health issues within the scope of his practice. He is definitely a role model for other physician including his senior partners as to what a compassionate, insightful and good doctor should be.

In early December of 2021, DrZaki postponed sinus surgery one night before it had been scheduled for due to a personal problem of his. He failed to schedule a new date within the calendar yr. Then he dropped me as a patient after I begged him to refer me to someone else in his ENT office before having to roll into a new year as my health insurance deductible would to go back to zero. He said “our relationship is strained”. He medicated me and left me hanging less than 10 hrs before the procedure and now he seems to be the one who gets to be mad. He discontinued my care and I had to find another provider and start again in 2022. Very unprofessional and inefficient office personnel as well.
