TLDR - stop and ask why/how much for everything. Most of it is completely unnecessary. CityMD referred me after I had a terrible nosebleed. My visit lasted no more than 10-minutes, and in that time I accrued almost $1,000 in charges not pertaining to my nosebleed. At first, he checked my nose and my ears. He said my nose looked fine, nothing to cauterize (to stop future bleeding) - that should've been it. But he then checked my left ear, then my right - he said "I can't see in this ear, so you're getting a free ear cleaning" -- proceeds to give me a painful removal and then charged me $150. So about 3 minutes in and we were done, he asked if I had any other concerns. I had felt a lump in my throat the past couple years and just asked if it was normal - he looked excited and said "want me to check!?" and I said sure. He proceeded with a nasal endoscopy procedure which took about 1-minute for him to then say "nope, normal" and send me on my way, a charge of $775.

Was given incorrect medical advice
Although the office experience was pleasant, I’m so grateful that my gut instinct told me to get a second opinion. This doctor not only misread my radiology results, telling me that my parotid cyst was a lymph node and very common, (despite the radiology report clearly stating that it was a cyst,) but he told me that all my symptoms being on the same side of the cyst were coincidental and to follow-up in 6 months which could have been detrimental for my health, had I taken this advice and waited. I was also told by Dr. Zozzoro that no doctor would biopsy such a small cyst. Thankfully, after my second opinion with the ENT Center of NJ in Nutley, I am now getting the biopsy and was additionally told by the Mayo Clinic, Sloan Kettering, and my current head and neck surgeon, that parotid cysts need to be removed, because as they get bigger, the complications increase and the surgery is more severe. I wouldn’t trust this doctor’s medical advice.

Dr. Zozzaro had excellent bedside manner. He took time to listen to me and gave me the best advice and treatment plan. He also took time to explain and teach. He made sure I left with an understanding. He came in a timely manner. I would go to him for any of my ENT needs and would recommend him. I wish he could be my primary.

Truly Terrible. He mislead me about the cost of a 5 minute unnecessary procedure and scammed me out of 1000 dollars. He got no new info from the procedure then billed me for 1000 dollars. He was clearly pushing the procedure to drive revenue. I was under the impression that it would cost max $300. I've never felt so frustrated with a healthcare professional.

Was I at Lourdes this morning or at Dr.Zazzaro’s ENT office? After developing the habit of saying , “what?” Ad nauseam and putting subtitles on my Netflix choices, I decided that I’d taken another step into the world of “ancient “. But alas! After The removal of wax plugs the very mold of each ear, I’m back in the world of subtleties, and under the breath murmurings Friends I had decluttered as “mumblers” will now be put back on my iPhone favorites. The blast on my car radio assaulted me as I started my car to head home. All this within an hour! Now the stimulus check will be used for other than that dreaded hearing aide. Strongest recommendation for Kayla the audiologist, Dr Zazzaro and his efficient, courteous office staff.

Dr. Zozzaro is a thorough, experienced, compassionate and knowledgeable doctor. I’ve Been having chronic confusing health issues and have been seeing a number of doctors. This led to anxiety about what’s going on. Dr. Zozzaro took his time, was very thorough, and was extremely empathetic to my situation. I was never rushed and my silly concerns were never condescended to. Highly recommended!!

I really loved Dr. Zorrzaro. I came to him after another ENT misdiagnosed me for a severe ear infection. He took his time with me and really made me feel comfortable. He was able to spot how bad my infection had gotten and made sure I had an appointment for a few days ahead. Overall great staff and Dr!!! Would recommend to anyone .

It was the first time ever that i was seen on my appointment time at a doctor's office. The stuff was so friendly and professional and the office was neat and clean. The doctor was very nice he took the time to listen to my problems and explained me everything well. I will definitely go back again. I definitely recommend him.

Terrible experience! Dirty office building and apathetic staff. Wait time was over 1.5 hours! I'm pretty sure the staff all hated their jobs. They messed up our appointment and were not apologetic. By the time we saw the doctor it was so late that we got nothing out of the appointment. Find a better ENT group.
