Unwilling to go the extra mile
I saw Dr. Sun once to see about switching to her as my PCP. For a few years I'd been working with a good doctor from Mercy (who has left their company) to figure out why I had doubled my body weight, kept throwing out my back to the point of no mobility, and was dealing with daily bone and muscle pain on top of various other issues that had worsened since a covid infection. Dr. Sun told me it was because I was fat (in nicer words) and refused to acknowledge that I was underweight when this began. I am grateful for the bad experience because it helped me finally leave Mercy for BJC where within a year my doctors diagnosed me with MCAS.

Dr. Sun was an active listener and spent as much time as I needed during my visits. I believe she is a true advocate for my medical care.
