Dr. Chico is, by far, the best endocrinologist I have seen. I followed her from Christus to Willis Knighton due to her exceptional passion for patient care, her exemplary bedside manner, and the kindness shown by her staff. One of the things I appreciate most is that Dr. Chico is consistently involved in my care; I never feel like I am being treated by anyone other than her. I’ve been to other doctors and I only end up ever seeing a NP or PA. It’s rare to find a provider who takes such a hands-on, personal approach. I feel truly fortunate to have such a dedicated and skilled doctor. Additionally, I appreciate that she accepts Medicare, making her services accessible to someone like me.

Dr. Chico has the rare combination of relatability and brilliance. She is a great listener, and was laser focused as she explained the results of my blood tests. She quickly developed a manageable treatment plan for me. I also met with her dietician, Aimee, who had great ideas for this new approach. The rest of the office staff was also friendly and professional. I feel like I found an endocrinologist who is understandable, careful, and empathetic -- never judgmental or dismissive. I actually look forward to going back for follow up appointments!

How much she really cared and listened to what I had to say and not just an in and out doctor. I have been seeing Dr Michelle Chico since I moved to Louisiana in 2010. When I first saw her I felt like I had been drained of all the energy I ever had or would have. Right away she saw my thyroid problem. I had gone from a slim 120 lb. person to almost 200 lbs. almost overnight. She also helped me with type 2 diabetics. My cholesterol was really high. This was not an over night cure for me but it was a process of listening to my doctor and applying the things she told me. I really appreciate the care and concern that Dr Chico has for her patients. She listens and then she talks. I love Dr Chico. I recommend her to everyone I met who are having problems like I had. Her staff is also amazing. Thank you Dr Chico for saving my life.

Dr. Chico is an AMAZING physician! She is a great communicator and patiently answered ALL of my questions. Every doctor should be as knowledgable and compassionate as she is. During my appointment, I even witnessed a really sweet exchange in the hall between Dr. Chico and a lady who appeared to be a long-time patient. Dr. Chico really is THE BEST OF THE BEST, with a warm, welcoming office and friendly and efficient staff. --Also, I don't think I've ever encountered a doctor and staff who are as knowledgable and skilled when it comes to navigating insurance issues. I can't speak highly enough of Dr. Chico. She is very attentive, knowledgable, passionate and thorough. The staff is friendly and efficient. Dr. Chico always take the time to address all of my questions and concerns. I am so glad she is my Endocrinologist. I feel truly blessed to have her as a doctor.

Dr Chico is a great physician and ver well known endocrinologist in the town. From my own experience I found her very compassionate and empathetic physician and very much caring about her patients, she carefully listens to all the concerns and helps her patients in the best possible manner.

Scheduling is horrible! Took weeks to just schedule an appointment and then the appointment was weeks away! Ridiculous!My paperwork was all wrong when I got there and still wrong when I was sent to lab draw! The doctor spent less than 5 minutes with me and never even asked how I was feeling!The only reason she stayed that long was because I was attempting to question her about my condition but she was literally ushering me out the door while I was speaking!Crazy! LolI wanted her to explain the possible relationship between my thyroid condition and my sex hormones and she flat out said they’re not related when it’s common knowledge that they are directly linked!! It definitely has me worried about the level of expertise and care I will receive dealing with this clinic.I’m scared to start over with a diff doc because my thyroid mass is growing and I need a BIOPSY!!I was told I was having the FNA/biopsy today but that was not true!Who knows how long I’ll wait.

Dr Chico takes time with you. Listens to all your health issues and medical treatment based on your individual health needs. She is concerned with helping you stay as healthy as you can.
