Communication was open, friendly, professional and informative. I was really anxious about this appointment and afterwards I was relived that a care plan for My health issues was in place my anxiety was definitely reduced.

Anxious, Poor Skills in exam and communication
This office felt like an assembly line with perhaps too many patients booked. The MA and PA were the only people who seemed plugged into patient care. Rushed and frantic was the energy the doctor brought into the room and she almost immediately launched into the most painful pelvic exam I’ve ever had. I’ve had over a dozen pelvic exams, several transvaginal ultrasounds, a colposcopy, etc. so I am not a wimp. The fact that this doctor doesn’t know how to mitigate the pain of a basic pelvic exam would tell me that her hands-on skills including surgery are highly suspect. She failed to do anything to set me at ease. My male gynecologists are total pros compared to her! She didn’t seem to have any knowledge of my medical history and didn’t seem interested in my issue and pressed me for details on previous doctor’s opinions, which showed me a lack of confidence in her skills. I wouldHighly advise avoiding this doctor!

Rushed, cold and insensitive
My time with Michelle Van Kuiken was rushed and she had clearly not reviewed my information with her associate. The exam was very painful which is inexcusable. I let her know it was painful but this information made no difference in her behavior. It was deeply upsetting to me.

Terrible experience
Got a cystoscopy done and afterwards had symptoms of a bladder infection which the nurse she had put me in touch with for ptns therapy ignored for two weeks. Since then have been dealing with bladder infections non stop. The doctor makes it incredibly difficult to reach her for these issues, and would avoid using.
