This man ruined both my legs and gave me daily pain that will never get better. Saw Dr. Plymale for suspected Compartment Syndrome as a freshman in college, so we went through the testing and he confirmed I needed surgery to fix the problem. Had the surgery and then came the horrendous post op. Couldn't walk for weeks and did therapy for 4 months only to discover he had cut a ton of nerves in my legs and my systems got worse. Instead of symptoms being only sometimes, they are now constant. Post op visit was basically 5 minutes and pretty much said maybe the nerve tingling and pain will get better...it hasn't almost 10 years later. Save yourself a lifetime of pain and stay far away from Dr. Plymale. I got a second opinion a few years ago and they were shocked the surgery was performed. My test results were somewhat positive at best, and probably shouldn't have had the surgery. Do not trust Dr. Plymale with your life.

Not given adequate care
Dr. Plymale rushed me out of my appointment and didn’t take enough time to evaluate my injury before diagnosing my problem. He didn’t order an MRI like my current doctor did, which showed my injury is much worse. He didn’t even care to see me back for a follow up. His bedside manner is very brash. I was not given adequate care and would not recommend him to anyone.

If you don’t want to suffer in pain after a major surgery then don’t go to this doctor. He is one of the most insensitive physicians I I have ever met. Certain patients get less care than others.

Dr. Plymale and his office staff was everything we needed and more to get my 96 year old mother through two hip surgeries! They have the full package; knowledgeable, skillful, professional compassionate and timely! Mom is faith strong and head strong and is back to her baseline physicality. The first surgery was March 5th, second due to a staph infection was April 8th and by mid May she was released from rehab. To God be all the glory for working through Dr. Plymale and his awesome staff!

Dr. Plymale is a great Dr. and his office staff are excellent. They had me in and out of the office in a reasonable amount of time. He explained his findings where I could understand the outcome of the tests. I would definitely recommend his office to others that are having ortho problems.

I was very happy with Dr. Plymale. All these people saying they were rushed probably were wanting to sit around and gab.. He’s a no nonsense get to the point, but he’s really down to earth and will cut jokes and chat with you also.

Dr. Plymale is an excellent physician. He is conservative but is definitely willing to go the extra mile if the situation does not improve. He explains things in layman's terms and takes time to answer questions and explain what he is doing. He will also refer to other physicians if he feels the problem is not in his scope of practice. Would definitely recommend. Have had two surgeries, one shoulder and one elbow. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

I went to Dr. Plymale for a knee problem that I've had for years. Not to mention a previous lateral release on the same knee. I was told to start therapy for 8 weeks and buy new shoes! I felt like I was being brushed off. I went back and ask for a MRI. He finally ordered one and when I went back for the results he said it's fine. I mean you have some ACL degeneration and some other issues , but I'm not touching your knee! I was furious! I'm only 28! Definitely getting a 2nd opinion.

Having worked myself for over 7 years in an orthopedic office - I was not impressed with Dr. Plymale. He rushed through the exam, explained everything at a rapid pace that non-medical patients probably wouldn't understand, and became irritated when I refused a treatment that had caused me adverse reactions in the past, opting for a more conservative treatment. I really got the impression that he felt I - a middle aged lady with a knee strain, and not some top athlete - was wasting his time.

Vague, uninterested & quick to rush you out....Super disappointment in my first and last visit with this doctor. Save your time and money, I now have to wait a few more weeks to meet another physician since this was a total waste of time. I would maybe consider referring him to an ex-spouse or life long enemy.

I had been seeing another doctor for years, I came to him to get a second opinion. In the 15 minutes he spent with me I understood my condition more and felt more comfortable with him than the doctor I had seen for awhile! He was very thorough, and spent a lot of time explaining to me what was going on, my treatment options, and answering all of my questions. I will definitely be going to Dr.Plymale from now on!
