Dr. Miguel Figueroa, MD

Dr. Figueroa is very friendly and easy to communicate with. He takes his time, gives good advice and is very thorough in the exam and note taking. He told me things I never knew about my medication. The injections he gave me were precise and nearly painless! I was sorry to see him leave, but he is going to do the noble thing by caring for his father. God bless him!

I have had many doctors in different cities. In pain management, I've had easily a dozen different doctors. I have noticed that pain management doctors can generally be categorized into two groups. There are pain management doctors who view their patients with skepticism and distrust and tend to assume patients prescribed controlled substances will abuse and misuse their medicine.Then there are the pain management doctors who understand that due to the legal landscape surrounding pain control medicine, they are imbued with great power over their patients; patients requiring a pain management doctor can be easily taken advantage of financially, and these doctors abuse that relationship.I've never had a pain management doctor like Dr. Figueroa before. I felt he truly wanted to help me and make things better. When going to a pain management doctor in our American healthcare system, it is strange to feel like a patient rather than a customer.Thank you, Dr. Figueroa, and I'll miss you.

Dr. Miguel Figueroa is hands down one of the most caring and compassionate doctors I've ever had! His humor is charming, and it makes every appointment enjoyable. Dr. Figueroa is beyond knowledgeable, he truly cares about his patient’s health. He will take whatever time is necessary to explain your condition, and any unforeseen dangers in your treatment plan. I never once felt rushed while I asked questions. I am truly saddened that he is leaving my practice. I doubt I will find another doctor as caring, and dedicated to both their profession, and patients. I wish you all the best in your future endeavors! What stands out about this doctor is his compassion and eye for detail. Whereas many other doctors regard you as just the patient, just a number and sadly a means of revenue through Medicare. This doctor took things personally I felt. He went above and beyond to help me with my ailments. He's the type of person that I would hope to run into at a restaurant or a social gathering. Just to spend a little time with him outside the office.

Simple words cannot express the admiration and respect that I have for Dr Figueroa. He is what a doctor should be in every sense. I am 64 years old and I have NEVER encountered physician in my lifetime that exhibits the genuine interest in my well-being that he does. About 5 years ago I was the recipient of a hatchet job lumbar fusion, performed by a local physician. Since the surgery I had been miserable and in excruciating pain almost constantly. I recently had 2 Major Back Surgeries within 48 hours totalling 15.5 hours under to correct this. Within 24 hours of my second surgery he called my cell phone to check on me. From that call forward he either called or sent me a text each day until my release and frequently after I arrived home. He was geniunely concerned with my well being and my confort level. I have never had a Dr as genuinely caring as Dr Figueroa. I only wish I had more room as there is much more to say. He is the epitome of what a Physician should be.

Dr Figueroa is the best pain management physician I've seen in my many years. He provides a level of experience and knowledge that exceeds that of his peers and more importantly, he listens to his patients! I've had him perform several 'in-office' procedures and every single one off them was successful in alleviating my pain, something I can't say for other pain management physicians I've used in the past. I can easily provide my highest recommendation to this superb physician!

Dr Figueroa is a physician who “cares” how his patients are truly feeling. He treats me as a complete individual. He treats the whole person. He cares about me, the person and concerns himself with “all” of me and not just my illness and my ailment(s). I believe in him; he instills the confidence in me to know I am safe under his care and will be there for me when I need him. I am very fortunate that the Lord has brought him into my life.

Dr. Figueroa is an excellent medical professional who is knowledgeable regarding pain management and neurological issues. He is empathetic and listens attentively. He answers questions carefully, explaining diagnoses and treatment plans well. He instills trust in his decisions and sincerely cares about his patients. We would give Dr. Figueroa our highest recommendation.

He spent quality time and was very informative ! He discussed pros and cons of the treatment plan ! He is very knowledgeable regarding pain issues and He is compassionate and caring he also takes time to listen and then addresses the issues with different modalities to explain and confirm plan of care , treatments and procedures ! I highly recommend him and I am sure you will be as pleased as I am !

My experiences with Dr. Figueroa have been extremely informative about pain management. I am a transplant patient and he is excellent in determining the best medication for my needs. He truly listens to his patients, observes them closely and decides their actual pain management requirements. In this fast-paced world, he is a refreshing exception. Again, he takes a moment to really look at and listen to his patients. Great doctor!

Dr. Figueroa has been my pain management physician for several years. I had my doubts ay first but he accomplished all he said he would and then some. I had 4 operations on my right shoulder my left leg amputated. Disc removed with cage L6 and also C5 and my right hip cfushed and put back together with screws and metal plate. With all of that this wonderful ,dr. has me virtually pain free and at 68yrs old, I'm able to work full time again. I cant lift him up enough. Thank you for providing me with the help you did.

This is the best doctor I have been to. After being in chronic back pain for so many years with no relief whatsoever, this doctor has been able to give me relief without having to be on narcotics. I had an epidural about a month ago and my pain level is still very low compared to before. I am able to do things which in the past I couldn't. I am no longer having to use a cane and sometimes a wheelchair if I have to walk more than a very short distance. My quality of life has improved tremendously. I cannot thank Dr Figueroa for his patience, expertise and concern to try to make my life better.

Excellent doctor, takes time to listen and explain what he can do. Dr. Figueroa has diagnosed and treated me for a condition that pain management doctors in larger cities never mentioned. Natchez is lucky to have him.

I’m pain free in over 14 years!! Tried the spinal stimulation trial and got rid of my back pain. Just had a epidural injection and am pain free! Most caring and friendly Dr. I’ve ever met!!!

I have had several spinal injections from other doctors in Alexandria, Baton Rouge and Natchez that did not work. Had 2 spinal injection from Dr Figueroa in the last 8 months and both of them relieved my pain tremendously,. The first one lasted 6 months and the second one is still working. I had low back pain since 2003 and after the procedures that Dr. Figueroa did I am finally pain free for months. The doctor was very patient and took time to listen to me and he did what he felt was best for my interests concerning the pain. Dr Figueroa really cares about his patients. He will as needed, research, and consult with other doctors to find an answer for your pain. My husband suffers facial pain resulting from a stroke.
