Dr. Mihir Kanitkar, MD

Dr. Kanitkar performed emergency intervention on my father with PCI and stent placement during an acute myocardial infarction. His entire care from activation of the the catheterization lab to coordination of post-hospital care (my father was visiting from out of state at the time of his MI) was outstanding. He communicated a clear plan, gave frequent updates on next steps, and was a consummate professional in all interactions. I cannot thank him enough for saving my father's life through his quick action.

Dr. Kanitkar is not only extremely knowledgeable in his field, he also treats you as a human being, versus another "case". He does not talk down to you and is very thorough in explaining what is happening and more importantly, WHY. He discusses options in a clear manner and take a very personal approach in his treatments. Furthermore, he listens very carefully to what you say and validates your feelings and concerns. He answers questions in a manner you can understand. He also listens to family members and validates their concerns as well, understanding that they are important to your treatment and recovery plans. I consider myself blessed to have such a wonderful doctor caring for me.

Absolutely LOVE Dr Kanitkar! He has shown that he genuinely cares about my over all health! He found a congenital heart defect after one visit that my past cardiologist had missed. He has gone above and beyond taking Outstanding care of me! He referred me when some labs were off instead of just ignoring them hoping my PCP would take care of it! I am soooo thankful and blessed to have Dr Kanitkar as my cardiologist.

Dr. Kanitkar performed surgery on my mother's right and left leg for blocked arteries. I'm always weary on new doctors. However, Dr. Kanitkar is very personable and very experienced. He takes a real interest in his patients and their medical needs.
