Appointment time
I went to “TRY” to see Dr. Bismar & waited over an hour from my appointment time & still didn’t see him before I walked out. They took my $40 tho. The waiting room was extremely HOT & CROWDED. Never again will I go back! Hopefully I will get my money back but doubt it!!!

Run from this facility
The worst interpersonal skills in a physician I have ever dealt with. Won't answer questions, refused to explain any diagnosis or treatment. Supposedly lost my health records, but his office emailed me to remind me of upcoming colonoscopy. Now I can't get a colonoscopy because I can't get my records. Do yourself a favor and find and make a better choice.

Completely Disappointment
Arrived to my appointment 1 minute late due to careflight accident on the highway. There were 4 people in the lobby including me. All my paperwork was ready to go, ID, Ins Card, Payment etc. They managed to only call the 3 ahead of me in an HOUR. An hour after my appointment time and a lobby full of 8 people at this point, I told them I had to go. I was told, you are next to be called. Thanks, that's great but I have to go get my kids and have been here and hour with zero updates that the doctor was this behind when I checked in or even throughout the course of waiting in the lobby. You would think they would be calling patients to give them a heads up the doctor was this behind, especially since there was only an hour left before closing and 8 people to be seen. Given they had only managed to call back 3 in the first hour, Im not sure how everyone was to be seen. I will not be returning, and this was my initial consult for this place. Doesnt look good for future appointments.

A quite unsatisfactory experience. Hard to get an appointment, long wait times as much as 2 hours past appointed times. Diagnoses were confusing and often contradictory. I would not recommend this doctor. Office/staff were disorganized. Sometimes you would be handed off to several staff who didn't know the answers or had answers contradicting other staff. Very messy and stressful experience. Doctor would make recommendations without reading the medical chart and would make mistakes.

I was very disappointed with him and his staff. Went for colonoscopy. In surgical room he asked about me emptying my bowels and taking all the medicine to do so. I told him I couldn't take all of it because I had vomited it up that morning. He answered real sharply "Well, I will try to do it anyway but you should have told me earlier." Well that scared me but since I was fixing to be out I had no choice about it. As it turned out. I had some hemmoroids to get banded. I went back for that. I was reprimanded by staff for not showing up for an appointment I didn't have and waited for hours to find out they didn't have me down for an appointment i did have. Had proof. Two of the hemorrhoid bandings went fine. The last one i went home bleeding some and in a lot of pain. A few days later I called about it the pain and was told he could send me to a surgeon? Eventually i healed but will never ever go to him again.

I’ve been seeing Dr. Bismar since 2016. He saved my colon and returned me to a symptom-free healthy life in spite of the diagnosis - ulcerative colitis. I have absolute confidence in his knowledge and wisdom. This most recent appointment was done through telemedicine. I really appreciate Dr. Bismar’s nurses and staff for preparing me for this experience. It went smoothly with good audio and video. I was very comfortable in my rocking chair and safe from Coronavirus.

Dr Bismar and his staff agreed to a last minute procedure on Christmas Eve. I was in and out and with great success. Kudos to Dr Bismar, his entire team, especially Lynnette Roberts, and Huguley Hospital for taking good care of me on such short notice.

Dr. Bismar pays great attention to all the details and leaves no stone unturned. I have been a patient of his for close to 9 yrs. This is a doctor that spends time with you to answer all your questions. Hands down my favorite Gastro! I had a not so good one before that missed something potentially life changing so I have been skiddish. I trust this Dr. Bismar with my life!

I’ve had 6 colonoscopies in PA but this was my first in TX. The prep that Dr. Bismar uses was the best I ever used. He must have done his homework on making this the most bearable experience possible. I want to thank you, Dr. Bismar, your office staff and the staff at the surgical center.

I’ve been to this office for 2 visits. The first was initial visit to get prep for a routine colonoscopy. We waited over an hour before being called back and another hour in exam room before the doctor finally stopped talking to his staff about personal matters in hallway. Then the follow up visit while waiting another hour in waiting room, there was 1 other patient waiting with me, the nurse assistant called out names 4 different times of people who weren’t even there!

Dr. Bismar was recommended by my PCP and I’m so glad he chose this doctor and care staff. I would highly recommend this doctor and office. Dr. Bismar was thorough and explained the procedures that would help with the diagnosis. When I went for the follow-up he had a diagnosis and thoroughly explained the plan of care. There was ample time for questions and clarifications. I never felt rushed.
