Amazing!
She is such a great person. She treated my daughter like one of hers. She was diligent and made sure my daughter was okay. And she would reassure us if we needed anything to call and she would even see us without an appointment. That just shows how much she truly cares for her patients. She even showed love for my son who was not one of her patients.

Incredible Physician
Dr. Palau is a compassionate and competent physician. She thoughtfully approached my daughter’s health concerns with dignity and comprehensive care planning that is logical and evidence-based. She was straightforward and took time to understand my child’s symptoms and development over time. I feel reassured and trust that every stone is being unturned in the diagnosis and management of my daughter’s condition- Dr. Palau has provided hope for health and improved quality of life through her partnership, knowledge, and support. The Treasure Coast is incredibly lucky to have such an expert specialist in our community.

Dr. Palau misdiagnosed my son twice. The first time by laying a very serious diagnosis out for my husband and I. My husband was sobbing, next by coming in and laying an equally but completely different diagnosis on him, one of which required a very potent medicine. The second misdiagnosis almost killed my son, he had a severe reaction to it and was airlifted from the ER to a different hospital’s PICU. Not only did she ignore my concerns that landed him in the PICU, she then tried to have us fly him two hours (drive from our home) a hospital that has her “colleagues” because she said the hospital we wanted him at, “may not be able to help him”. She also violated HIPPA by discussing my child’s case with a doctor I did not give her permission to do that.

I was having issues with PCOS, so I was referred to dr. Palau. Birth control is usually prescribed. Instead, I was prescribed metformin, which is used to treat type 2 diabetes. This in itself was not the issue, the issue was the complete lack of care when I brought up the severity of the side effects. I threw up everything I ate, had no appetite, horrible headaches, constant fatigue, and a lack of motivation. I had lost 30 pounds over the course of 4-5 months, all from throwing up the little food I ate. When my mother and I brought up this concerning issue? “Five more pounds to go!” An actual quote told to me by dr. Palau. This complete lack of awareness from a PEDIATRIC endocrinologist is harrowing. She works around children everyday. As a 15 year old girl you can imagine what such a comment would do to your way of thinking about your body and eating habits. It’s now 3 years later, and I still feel the effects of her. Ulcers from vomiting, acid reflux, all of which she ignored.
