I was seen by Dr. Cobia during a hospital stay at Grandview last year. He sat down on the edge of the hospital bed and spoke to me like a person, not a patient. I was surprised at how much time he spent with me making sure I had a clear understanding of my condition, gave me his treatment plan, and assured me that I was going to get better. I was very grateful for him and the compassion he showed me. I saw a previous review describing him as arrogant - that's what prompted me to leave my review. My impression of him was quite the opposite and I highly recommend him.

My husband was admitted into Grandview & Dr. Cobia was his neurologist. He impressed us both & also his attending physician. He was professional but approachable & we felt comfortable speaking with him. He was VERY thorough & took time to look at all scenarios. I am not an easy person to impress when it comes to medical doctors, so I felt like I needed to write a review. A breath of fresh air when it comes to healthcare & patient care.

Love him
This Doctor is so cool! When he is in the room with a patient he is all there. He actually looks over your labs and any imaging or further testing. He does not try to peddle the latest greatest medicine on the market. He has the best bedside manners! So thankful for him, very refreshing to see his passion for his patients applied with knowledge. Very thorough and cautious!

I recently was admitted to GRANDVIEW for an emergency situation. Dr. Cobia was my neurologist and I could not have been more impressed. He was thorough, explained his recommendation for treatment and answered every question I had. His follow up while I was at Grandview was consistent and reassuring and I never sensed he was anything but committed to seeing my health restored. I highly recommend him as a neurologist.

Pompous, arrogant, does not listen to patient. Thinks he is the center of the universe, have no idea how such a person could pass medical school. Having a kidney stone was more pleasant than my appointment with Cobia.
