Dr Safain is great

Dr Safain came in special on a Saturday morning to do the surgery because I was in so much pain. Everything went well.

I have an option to have l 5 s 1 disc herniation surgery. I had an appointment with Dr. Safain, and he explained to me how he would go about the procedure. He is very professional, and I trust him to do the surgery.

Dr. Safain is GREAT but the office has done nothing about contacting my insurance company that denied my surgery for 11-11 so Now i am still in pain and i have to cancel the surgery so service is not that great but loved the doctor.

Dr Safain & his assistant are very caring, professional, know what they are doing, on time, and very gentle.; this was my 2nd back surgery with Dr Safain.6 years ago, after my 1st back surgery. Dr Safain told me thar it wouldn't be long before I would need his services on my right side.I will use his expertise when I need it again. Aging isn't easy.

Dr. Saffain and his assistant Ran are fabulous! They are so thorough and take their time with you. Dr. Saffain did an amazing job with my spinal fusion and my neck pain is gone. He made such a difference. It's amazing not feeling the pain I once felt.

Dr. Safain and Ran Ku have been absolutely fantastic. I am 6 weeks post op from L5-S1 robot assisted fusion and I am improving every day. They are responsive, patient and really attentive to their patients. The nerve pain I went in for has subsided as a result of the surgery and I couldn’t be happier with their professionalism and attentiveness.

Dr. Mina Safain and Dr. Ran Ku are amazing doctors! They are like Batman and Robin who get things done. I am a runner and experienced right leg pain for several years, and thought it was my right knee. After an MRI scan of my spine, Dr. Safain explained that the problem existed from the cartilage being worn away at the L4 - L5 vertebra, and recommended 'Transforaminal Lumbar Interbody Fusion' to alleviate this issue. I had no idea what Transforaminal Lumbar Interbody Fusion was but I really wanted to get rid of this pain. Six weeks later post-op, the doctors asked me about the pain in my right leg and, to be honest with you, I had forgotten about my pain. I am so glad I chose Dr. Safain and Dr. Ran Ku at Melrose Wakefield Hospital, and would highly recommend to anyone suffering with back and leg pain complexities to make an appointment to see them. Dr. Safain performed L4-L5 TLIF on me. Very kind, great bedside manners, and most importantly, he's incredibly talented. Additionally, his PA Ran Ku was terrific. Back surgery is scary, but Dr. Safain and his team did a great job explaining the process. I investigated 3 doctors and am 100% certain I made the right choice allowing Dr. Safain to perform the surgery on my back.

Dr. Safain Diagnosed me with a pituitary tumor pushing on my vision nerves. After removing it through my nose my vision came back that same day. Im really glad he was my doctor. Took a lot of time explaining the surgery and putting me at ease

I was admitted to the hospital with a Brain Tumor called a Meningioma. Dr. Safain guided me through the decision to have surgery and took it out with no problems. I was home two days later. Really went great. Im so thankful to the entire Tufts staff.
