Dr. Minh Nguyen, MD

Dr. Nguyen was very kind, but I started to feel more hopeless each time I spoke with him or his office. We decided to do a colonoscopy and at this point, I had lost an additional 10 pounds while under his care and I was being told that I wouldn’t be able to have a colonoscopy done for almost 9 more months. My appointments with Dr. Nguyen online were limited to about 10 minutes and I received little supportive care or instructions to maintain my health in the meantime. I was even asked in each appointment if I still wanted a colonoscopy done, to which I said yes because I wasn’t sure what else we would do instead. Once I had dropped down a total of 20 pounds while under his care, my family urged me to see a naturopathic doctor who immediately found my issue and I have become a different person in just 6 months. Dr. Nguyen was a good doctor, but I feel that this facility takes on too many patients and that impacts how much time and efforts their practitioners put into each individual.

I have had at least 5 colonoscopies because I'm at high risk for colon cancer. This was my sixth, but my first with Minh Nguyen MD. His was recommended by a friend. He talked to me before and after the procedure. His team took good care of me at the South Bay Endoscopy Center and monitored me, asked me questions, answered mine, and told me what was happening. I found the Doctor and staff to be very professional, likeable, and compassionate. I had very good instructions on my preparation.

Dr. Nguyen has been caring, patient and understanding. I have had 2 endoscopies and a colonoscopy under Dr. Nguyen's care. Each time he has talked with me after the procedure and patiently answers my questions in a way I can understand without me feeling like he is talking down to me. Outstanding at what he does and am glad I am able to be in his care!

I saw him before my colonoscopy and he had done his homework! He had read my charts going back 20 years and was up to date on my problems. He did visit me before and after the procedure and I called and got an appointment to discuss the results. So far, I give him 5 stars

Dr. Nguyen came in before procedure to introduce himself and ask if I had any questions. He came in after proceedure to discuss results.

I had a routine colonoscopy. I took off two stars, not because he was bad; he was fine, but because I was not able to discuss the results with him or someone else. Thus I would not recommend him. Right after the procedure, he came to let me know but I forgot what he said. They called to say the biopsy was clear. I called the office for more information and they said he would have to call back. I called again and got the same response. I don't mind talking to a nurse but no one offered.
