I was a patient of Dr. A for 8 years. Because of my meds I was told that they needed a urine test each month. I’m a 60 yr. old mother, grandmother, and college student. So no problem. I also have Crohn’s disease and was given a new medication to try. Unbeknownst to me (and obviously Dr. A) this could show up as positive for METH on a drug test. ( Can you guess where this is headed?!). No one from his office had bothered to to call me to tell me there was a problem, so at my next appointment he abruptly informed me that since I had tested positive for drugs he could no longer treat me and just swept from the room. Even when my pharmacist explained what had happened that made no difference to Dr. Abubaker and his staff. Who, by the way, never could look me in the eye after that.

I read the previous reviews about Dr. Abubaker, and was apprehensive about seeing him, despite my PCP recommending him. As it turns out, Dr. Abubaker was attentive and friendly. Going in, I wasn't so concerned about his friendliness, and more concerned with his knowledge and ability to treat my condition. I pleasantly surprised by his bedside manner. He even called me personally with my test results and discussed them with me, which has NEVER happened with any other doctor.
