As always, Dr. Athar was thorough in explaining my labs and completely professional and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend him for your Oncology needs. I have been a patient since 2015 an he is consistent in my care and concern for my needs pertaining to my treatment.

He is very personable and knowledgeable. My comfort level with him is extremely good. He takes his time and explains things thoroughly.

Doctor Athar gave me hope after another Oncologist (in a different state) had given me a death sentence. He is a kind and gentle man with a fantastic bedside manner. During my Chemo treatments, he often peeked in to see how I was tolerating the harsh chemicals and once stopped the treatment because he could tell I was feeling quite poorly. I am now ten years cancer free. Every cancer patient should have a doctor like Dr. Athar.

When cancer is experienced, especially more than once a partner who is knowledgeable and supportive is tremendously helpful. For me Dr. Athar has been that partner for five years.

My husband had surgery 2/28. He was assigned Dr. Athar. We nevervsaw or heard from this man for 3 weeks. Finally we were told he came to my husbabds room after surgery. My husband was on morphine and not coherent. I was not present so we did not know we were consulted. After several attemptes and help from many different doctors andvstaff members Dr. Athar decided to do a conference call in my husband's room. He does not communicate. After this I tried to get paperwork to him and his front office was rude and dismissing. It is stressful enough to have a spouse with cancer but then to have to battle to speak yo a doctor is unaccrptable.

Dr Athar is easy to talk to. Took his time with me and really listened to me. Reviewed my chart and past visits to bring himself up to date.
