Worst Dr I've Ever Encountered
Before even reading any of my lab results (I know because I had them printed out and not sent over prior), he dismissed any hormone imbalances because I am young and skinny so there is no possible way anything could be wrong with me. Have since seen two other Doctors confirming deficiencies. He then lied about his billing codes that he sent to my insurance saying he treated for things he did not. I would not go back to Dr Nizam even if I was paid to go.

Absolutely Horrible
Soubhi Nizam is one of the top 2 worst doctors I have ever seen! His bedside manner is absolutely horrendous. He immediately dismissed me, that I was wasting his time and a hypochondriac making it all up for attention. As I was still asking questions he was walking out of the room since I was wasting his time after he was 45 minutes late even seeing me very early in the morning. This was after waiting more than 5 months to even get an appointment! Recently the results of an MRI show a mass. The mystery symptoms of 4 years are explained. Soubhi Nizam was truly horrible, beware of him!

Unavailable
I recently sought care from Elizabeth Mahoney, Dr Nizam’s PA, for diabetes regulation on a Thursday. She gave us a blood sugar sensor and a prescription for insulin. After returning home, we were unable to fulfill the prescription because of insurance and needed a different brand. We were told that Dr Mahoney only worked tues, wed and half of Thursday and was unavailable to switch the medication until Tuesday and there was not another doctor available when for her patients until she returned. I spent the weekend watching drastic rises and falls in my daughter’s insulin. The doctor on call line repeatedly dropped my call without connecting. I ended up taking her to the ER to get an insulin shot. Frustrating. I found the initial instructions from the office lacked enough information about what to do and expect with diabetes. The office was unavailable in situations that were potentially life threatening. I do not recommend this office.

Arrogant and pompous
He was recommended because there really isnt any TRT Dr.s in the area. So i went to the appt. and all he could do was act like i was just trying to roid up because of my build. Didnt even ask my age til almost the end of the appt. Didnt ask history, symptoms, or anything of the such. Just,'how long have you used steroids?' Which i hadnt. He asked me a couple times,as if i was lying. This guy is a terrible waste of time

I have gone to Dr Nizam since he came to Revere in Provo. He saved my life when my thyroid numbers were off the charts. My internist prescribed Synthroid but rarely did labs. My numbers were discovered during an illness visit to an on call provider. I was referred to Nizam who has managed my disease ever since. He is thorough, professional and caring. He is the only one I trust to manage my thyroid issues

Dr. Nizam is an unpleasant human being. He’s not above discriminating against someone like me who has medical issues, and therefore can’t wear a mask. If you stand up for yourself, he will vilify you and shame you into leaving the office. An office, by the way, that has a “non-discrimination” notice in the lobby. I found Dr. Nizam to be pompous, manipulative, and contemptible - all this on my first visit, two hours of wasted time. First impressions, are usually accurate. If you want to be treated with decency and respect, than I recommend someone else.

My daughter was having severe headaches and saw Dr. Nizam for a possible diagnoses... After running tests, his diagnosis was my daughter was just fat... (She weighs maybe 140 lbs).. She has an eating disorder and this was terrible to say to her. When she was finally diagnosed, she actually had a brain tumor... Thanks Dr. Nizam.. you are useless.

He doesn't listen, doesn't think about overall health well being, only about what he is focused on, and his solution can be very detrimental in other ways. Mostly I am still shocked and appalled that in the last 5 years I have seen him he never ordered a dexascan when I was at the age 5 years ago I should have gotten one, to have been able to know that I needed to build my bones so I could avoid the severe osteoporosis I have now. It is miserable, and you would think that an specialist that treats it would know better than to wait until my neck bone collapsed because it was too weak. I don't have a life now. They can't fix my neck because it would just collapse again. And I am in pain all of the time. His not doing his job has made it so I can't go anywhere or do anything with my neck the way it is. Travel is completely out, and so is every thing else I enjoy. I could never recommend him to anyone!

Dr. Nizam seems smart and knows what he's doing, but he isn't given enough time to properly answer our questions and concerns. Both times we saw him he seemed in a rush. He gave my wife a prescription for levothyroxine, between appointments after lab results came back without consulting us. I was comfortable with the prescriptions, but I understand why my wife wasn't comfortable filling it. When we went in for are follow up, both him and his staff seemed shocked that we didn't fill it and Dr. Nizam seemed to take it personally. I was hoping that he would calmly answer our concerns, but we left the room more stressed out than when we entered.

I was a patient of Dr Nizam for 3 years I was being treated for osteoporosis that repeatedly was getting worse. Instead of changing my therapy I went in yearly for my 5 minute visit and received the same prescription for the osteoporosis that was getting significantly worse each visit. He never reviewed my lab results or previous notes before he came in. When my insurance changed I was covered to go up to an endocrinology clinic at the U of U. New tests were immediately ordered and it was discovered that the probable reason for the worsening osteoporosis was actually based on the fact that I actually had cancer. Would have been important to know that earlier! Don’t see Dr. Nizam

Dr. Nizan has been my Doctor ever since he came to practice at Revere Health in American Fork. I give him FIVE stars without hesitation. Dr Nizan is very kind, knowledgeable, he listen, takes times to find out the problems. The members of his staff and the desk staff are so helpful with appointments. Than you Dr Nizan.

At first I was very pleased to be with someone who seemed to know what he was doing. As time went on it was difficult to communicate with his staff and they did a procedure on my neck that was inconclusive. Not his fault that it was inconclusive but it makes me wonder if he even knew what he was doing to begin with. Awful bedside manners and didn't seem to care about how I felt personally about all of what he was telling me. Do not recommend if you're looking for an endocrinologist who knows what he's doing.

While I do greatly respect Dr. Nizam’s medical experience and knowledge, his patient skills meed significant improvement. Once he was done checking out my family member, he sat down at his laptop and began dictating his notes - right in front of us. That was completely RUDE to just shut us off and begin speaking to his microphone about us. When making these notes, you become a statistic - “patient is this, patient is that” and it reenforces that you aren’t a lovely Jane Smith, but a “patient”. That should be done privately. My sister said he also does that to her. Also, he is trying to communicate clearly, but it is so difficult to understand him. Lastly, my family member was dx with Hashimoto’s disease and then told him to follow up with his PCP. Hashimoto’s is an endocrinological disease and he is the specialist for this. He flat out said,”Do not come back and see me. Go to your PCP and they can do this.” Confusing. I will never return. Compassion IS necessary in this field.

He was pleasant in introductions, but he is horribly dismissive, not engaged in real back-and-forth conversation, and it's hard to get him to let you talk for more than a couple sentences. Aside from the primary reason for my visit, I asked about some lab tests I wanted done to definitively rule out some potential issues related to breast feeding, and I barely got to say much by way of explanation before he was cutting me off and paternalistically explaining how I'll just make myself worry by taking unneeded tests. He did claim to agree to ordering all but one of the tests, but would not actually reference the list I had provided. I called the lab before going, and sure enough, he'd ordered the thyroid test (primary reason for visit), but none of the other tests I'd requested. Disagreeing is fine, but saying "ok" to something just to end a conversation and not following through is unacceptable from a professional in my opinion. Would not recommend.

Dr Nizam saved my life by recognizing the very rare condition I came down with. He ran the tests personally to verify the previous work done, then sent me to a surgeon who is a specialist in inslinomas.

He didn’t want to do maintenance on what I was doing, but would rather me go back and start over all the testing again because he wouldn’t feel good about it unless he ordered the tests again. I didn’t realize I was going to have to make him feel good. Overall it was a worthless experience, and a waste of time.
