Seriously disappointing.
Dr. Belthur preformed an unnecessary surgery on our son. He did an osteotomy that was not necessary in the first place. The pain control afterwards was horrific because of a nerve block he administered and then failed the manage the pain correctly. He had to cut his cast because it was too tight and as my son cried in agony he told nurses he was an “anxious” kid and was fine. I couldn’t recommend him less. Quite confused how he is employed by Phoenix Children’s.

Disappointing Experience
My experience with Dr. Mohan Belthur and his team was extremely disappointing. The customer service provided was well below acceptable standards, and the nurses and staff were unhelpful and rude. Dr. Belthur himself lacks essential customer service skills, as evidenced by the significant delay my child experienced on the day of her surgery. Waiting for 4 hours past her appointment time before the surgery began is simply unacceptable. This kind of service is not what anyone should expect or tolerate in a medical setting

Very satisfied
Dr Belthur is great at what he does! My daughter is on her second leg with an external fixator. Dr Belthur has been great throughout this process. He is very knowledgeable and takes his time to make sure to answer all questions and concerns. He even allowed some photos to be taken during surgery per my daughter's request. This helped her understand the process. Dr Belthur really does care about his patients.

Our daughter suffered a traumatic fall where she broke her elbow, ulna, and radius. She was worked as trauma patient and required emergency surgery, Dr. Belthur was amazing! He reconstructed her arm, his follow up care was perfection and his bedside and knowledge was incredible! This Doctor saved our daughter’s arm but also provided amazing follow up care and education for positive outcome recovery! We can not thank Dr. Belthur enough!!! Today we are three months recovery and our girl is cleared to play Volleyball!

Confidence matters. Dr. Belthur knows what is best, makes sound recommendations, and is genuinely concerned with how he can help my child. He did a fantastic job on my daughters recent Reconstructive Surgery, and she is walking pain free for the first time in her life.

Worst Dr I have ever been to and worst bed side manners! He looked at my son for a few steps and said he was fine. I told him he was the first dr to ever say that and I live with him every day and I know he is not "fine". He said I didn't have a degree and he is the specialist and the other drs were not. He kept putting his degree above everyone else. He wouldnt pull up any past medical reports or xrays, he said the emergency room didnt know what they were talking about. Rudest Dr I have ever met and a huge waste of time! I will be getting a 2nd opinion. He made us feel like we were a big waste of his time! I couldnt even finish a sentence without him interupting me. He definitely needs to come back down from his high horse and stop acting like he is better than everyone out their and stop working with children. This dr is not a good representation of PCH and I am completely surprised he is working there and especially with children.

Absolutely fantastic! Doctor Belthur treated our son following an unfortunate quad accident. He repaired a compound fracture in his right leg and broken left ankle. He repaired the right leg without needing further care. The left ankle developed a bone infection from the screws and he operated and made sure that no infection returned. Doctor Belthur is the best.

Our 9 year old daughter, Lexi, has left side hemiplegia which resulted in severe posturing of her left foot ankle. This combined with extremely tight tendons made walking and even bracing her almost impossible. She was primarily a wheelchair user by the time she was 8. We met with 2 different orthopedic surgeons and felt most comfortable with Dr. Belthur. Nervously, we proceeded with his recommended procedures and we are so happy that we did. Her mobility was restored! He is a gifted doctor!!

My son had two extensive surgeries with Dr. Belthur in February and March of 2018, We chose him for his depth of knowledge in our son’s case and his ability to offer us the confidence we needed in making difficult decisions. It’s the expertise that matters and not so much the bedside manner. This is a surgeon that easily takes calls from pediatricians to offer post operative care when something unexpected occurs. He stays involved through it all.

I'm giving a one star because I can't leave a review without choosing a star. I wish it was possible to give anything less I would've done so when I consider the type of horrible service we received from Dr Belthur. He is totaling lacking in empathy and communication skills. If you want a Dr who would treat you with respect and empathy please choose another doctor. He is severely lacking in bedside manners.

Dr. Belthur is obviously well versed on his topic and his expertise is apparent. Where we have struggled is with his patient approach. He talks very quickly and if you don't understand he acts annoyed. He jumps to saying that surgery should be done but we struggled with understanding why and what the options were. At Phoenix Children's he was alone but in Flagstaff he was accompanied by a case worker who helped enormously with facilitating conversation and slowing down the drs pace and attitude

Dr.Belthur saved our 7 year old daughter. She has an extremely aggressive form of cancer called Ewing Sarcoma. All other doctors misdiagnosed growing pains. Because of his expertise the bone tumor did not spread (15% survival). He was professional and dedicated to helping her preforming biopsy surgery just hours after meeting her. Our surgeon complimented him on the quality of his work and his humble response was I was trained very well. Words don't express our gratitude. Sincerely Thank You!

My husband and I owe so much to Dr.Belthur. There is truly nothing scarier than finding out your child is not developing normally in utero. After our first visit with Dr.Belthur our questions were answered and the entire process of club feet correction was thourouly explained. After months of casts and minor surgery you would never know our son was born with a birth defect. Dr. Belthur is very knowledgeable and truly cares about children and their families. I would highly recommend him!
