Dr. G is absolutely amazing with my 10 year old daughter, E. We've been working with her since E was 3 years old, and Dr. G always talks to her since she's the patient. She really listens and makes us feel very taken care of. She always takes the time to explain everything to us, and offers options instead of simply telling us what to do without considering our feelings. E loves her and even likes the lab, because Dr. G said she needs it. If your child has any type of gastro issues, be sure to ask for Dr. G...she's the best!

My daughter has had GI trouble since birth and was seeing another specialist until we met “Dr. G”. She has always been proactive with her treatment and was able to diagnose her with Crohn’s disease at the early age of 9. We have tried multiple medication cocktails and there is never a hesitation to switch it up as needed to try and minimize my daughter’s pain and discomfort. I can honestly say we are heard at each visit by Dr. Garin-Laflam and our issues are addressed. I have also sent my other children to Dr. Garin-Laflam when any concerns arise. I would definitely recommend her for your child’s GI needs.

Dr. Garin-Laflam has been my gastroenterologist for five years now and has guided me through everything from my diagnosis to my current treatment plan. At each step of the way she made sure I understood what was happening and was always kind to me when I saw her in the office. I very highly recommend her services to any child with gastro- issues for her easy to understand explanations and her swiftness at getting everything done.

My teenage son has been a patient of Dr. Garin-Laflam for about a year and a half, and she has been a pleasure to work with. She brought about a near immediate improvement to the health of my now 16-year-old son. She diagnosed and treated his Crohn’s Disease so effectively that he has gone from about 85 pounds to 160, has grown close to a foot, and is finally a happy and energetic teenage boy. Dr. Garin-Laflam has a wonderful way with younger patients, making scary situations manageable, and is able to explain complicated procedures and conditions in a way that is clear and understandable both to her patients and to their parents. We never feel rushed, she always gives us the time and attention that we need. And we leave every appointment feeling positive and confident about my son’s health. I would confidently recommend Dr. Garin-Laflam to anyone.

Dr. Garin-Laflam is a wonderful doctor. She has treated both of my daughters who have Crohn's and Celiac disease. She was thoughtful and caring throughout the process. As a parent, it was nice to feel like I had someone on my side to help figure out the best treatment for my child. Her staff is wonderful too. I would strongly recommend Dr. Garin -Laflam.

Honestly I’ve sat here and thought about what I should say when giving this review. First I wanted to say all the worse things I could and how awful the care and compassion she has for a child is. I wanted to say how eager and ready she was to put my two week old baby under anesthesia because she was set on this one thing being the problem. I wanted to say how awful her communication with parents to children are and how she gives no care about your input even if you’re not first time parents. And trust me I wanted to go all in depth with that stuff but I’ve chose to just give you all a little in sight and then just say if you really care for your child and want them to have the best care ever then do not take them to Dr. Laflam. I constantly keep her in my prayers and hope that one day she will find the compassion that a true doctor is supposed to have. I pray that she is not like this with every patient. I’m glad that my baby is in better hands now with a better doctor.

From the moment of our first visit, we knew we had made the right choice. Her compassion was genuine and the way in which she takes the time to articulate all the potential issues and their respective treatments was incredibly heartening. And because of the nature of his issues and the fact they had run their course for so long, it took a while to see the results. Incidentally, Dr. G was honest about this fact but assured us that these symptoms would be alleviated if we patiently followed her plan. Skipping forward, we began noticing promising results after one year and now, almost two years later, he is near symptom free! We recently had a f/u appt and found Dr. G's positive demeanor and enthusiasm just as comforting and encouraging as the day we met and during every step along the way. Gratefully, we can finally see the light at the end of this long and emotional journey. Do not hesitate to enlist her help with your child. She is amazing and a welcome blessing to our family!

We couldn’t have been more pleased! The nicest and most knowledgeable staff! I had a super scared son going in, not knowing what to expect and her reassurance and caring nature made him so much more at ease.

Do not go to her! She was very disrespectful to me while I was asking questions regarding my son's endoscopy she just performed. To excuse how rude she was she explained she needed to go eat lunch. The nurse in her office admitted to withholding my son's biopsy results (we already waited weeks for) because she didn't want to ruin our weekend. I told the nurse I needed to wait to take him back in & the doctor got on the phone with me and threatened to withdraw care. We will never see her again!

She diagnosed our six year old with a life long debilitating disease which requires a lot of heavy duty drugs (which she was happy to prescribe) without doing basic labs to rule out other causes or waiting for the path report from a colonoscopy & endoscopy to come back. She told us in post-op that she treats "MANY kiddos" with the same disease. Pretty disturbing.
