Excellent!
I don’t know about other people’s experiences, but for me, finding a good rheumatologist was not easy. Once I’ve met Dr. Tew I could finally stop looking. I’ve been his patient for over a decade. A great, attentive, experienced doctor that listens to you and as a plus, never makes you wait. Great staff also, from his sweet nurse to the front desk

I have been seeing Dr. Tew for three years now, and there is not a more professional person in the Austin area medical field. Not only does he read all of the reports and lab results before appointments, he respectfully listens to me before responding with any observations. And his staff is top drawer as well, as they turn around blood results in 1-2 days, and respond to requests thru the patient portal the same day. It's no wonder he's rated as one of Austin's best doctors; he and his staff work hard to earn it.

Dr. Tew studies your case before he actually meets you. I was very impressed with how much attention he pays to understanding your case. I also appreciated that he made room to see me at 7AM because no spot else was available for a long time.

Dr. Monty Tew was recommended to me by friend who sees him. I have been his client for several years. I can tell you with certainty he is a wonderful doctor. His compassion, professionalism, and knowledge add up to make him a physician I will happily refer people to who are needing a rheumatologist. His staff is fantastic also.

We saw Dr. Tew several years ago, he ran a lot of tests and said everything was "normal". Fast forward years later and my wife is still in constantly daily pain - come to find out her tests were NOT normal (many abnormal readings) and he just ignored the facts and didn't educate his patient on the findings. We recently through a better doctor discovered that she had a serious infection of Borrelia and other tick-related diseases. Do NOT go to this doctor and expect to get diagnosed properly.

Went to several RA Dr.s and then to Dr. Tew. Outwardly warm and friendly, great listener and answered all questions thoroughly along with serious concern. After sharing all of my symptoms with him along with his review of lab results, I returned again a few weeks later. Very short wait and got right in. He shared with me and my husband his report and findings and diagnosis. I was astounded in the thoroughness of his report and noting all we had discussed clearly outlined in his report.

He is kindness, consideration, empathy and humor packed handsomely in a white jacket. I have broken down and cried over another dr.s perceived cruelty, I have used inappropriate language, I have become chronically late and even forgotten appts. I one time cancelled an appt. and then showed up for it.... He helped me get free or lie cost coupons for the expensive meds. I reccomend him all the time. He will have to dismiss ME.... I'll never voluntarily leave him, no, I'm not a stalker.,.

it was ok in the beginning. I feel like he really didn't spend a whole lot of time gathering information from me. Mostly everything was based on labs and a MRI
