Poor Service
Dr Speakman lost a form required by the DMV and as a result my driver's license was made invalid for a year and a half and I didn't even know it. Also, his staff do not return voice messages or follow up with Rx renewals. You have to call multiple times.

he does not care
I've visited with Dr. Speakman multiple times and have hated it each time. I was sick for months and he always just told me I was fine and to come back a few weeks later if I wasn't. I was sick for an entire semester and almost failed my classes because of it. I had to ask him to do any sort of labs or tests for me. I finally was able to see a dr out of town who helped me. He doesn't really believe mental health exists and is difficult to work on in that regard. You can tell he just does not care or take the time to actually listen. I get sick frequently and I avoid going to him whenever possible. His medical assistant is amazing though.

He was incredibly rude from the second he walked in the door. Thought he had me pegged and didn’t get to know me and chat with me about my concerns until I got so upset I called him on it and he actually raised his voice at me. He was, to be perfectly frank, an a hole, and doctors like him are the reason I avoid the healthcare world. He has a horrific bedside manner. I found him to be egotistical, and have an “I know better than you, so shut up” attitude and to be severely lacking in empathy. He treated me like gutter trash. His medical assistant was incredibly nice, personable, and caring, and is the only reason I’m selecting “staff friendliness” as something that went well.

I had my first appointment with Dr. Speakman today. He was friendly and interactive, and took his time listening to my concerns. He took the time to look up and order a specific blood test that I requested. I mentioned that I recently had an MRI at the ER, and he pulled that up and took several minutes to show/explain to me the results. I will continue care with him.

As a Military Family - now retired, my husband and I are on the road as much as possible. Dr Speakman and his entire staff have been absolutely fantastic in seeing to our needs; making sure all of our questions and concerns are addressed professionally when we need them and have been helpful and efficient if we have to reach out to them from wherever we are at the moment. They have become like an extended family and I, for one, feel so much better knowing they have our 6.

This is why I avoid Dr's like the plague. Did not take me serious or genuinely address my issue. Barely spent time with me. He was my follow up to an ER visit. Ran a urine test, shrugged his shoulders, and said "Don't know". Then his office people lost my paperwork that I needed for work! His nurse was great. She asked questions and seemed to genuinely care. Dr Speakman didn't even ask follow up questions about serious family medical history. Nor did he address my lethargy since my ER visit.

Dr. Speakman spent less than a minute with me and in that time he was incredibly rude and insulting. After some expensive tests he waited a week and then had a nurse call me and tell me he couldn't help me. This guy is a hack he doesn't care about his patients and didn't help me at all. If this was any other kind of business I'd demand a refund. No wonder this guy doesn't own his own practice. Would rate 0/5 if that was an option.
