Really great doctor!
Dr. Bartels was my OBGYN when I was pregnant with my daughter. He is such a nice person and a very good doctor. He truly cares to get to know his patients and gives a lot of time for questions during his appointments. I would highly recommend him to anyone. He also delivers at Tacoma General which was a really, really good experience. His staff is also so great, both the doctor himself or nurses responds to questions quickly in the online portal. I also received very good help with nursing after giving birth. I am devastated to live in another state now so I can’t use Dr. and his staff again for this pregnancy.

Highly recommend
It was easy to make an appointment, and I got in very quickly as a new patient for an annual check up. Dr Bartels was exceptionally pleasant and easy to talk to. He communicates well and is a great “problem solver” making suggestions and thoroughly explaining options. He seemed genuinely interested in me and my individual needs as a person/patient. He was exactly on time seeing me. No wait at all. I highly recommend!

I have a planned cesarean section for my twins with Dr. Barthels coming up in October. From the first meeting he made my husband and me feel very comfortable and at ease. He took his time to understand our concerns and came across genuinely interested in us. I recently meet a family that he delivered their baby and they had nothing less than a glowing review.

Dr. Bartels delivered my second child, and he was so great with me. He is kind and very knowledgeable. I wanted a VBac after my C Section was a nightmare, and he helped me have a vaginal birth like I always wanted. I will definitely be delivering my next with him!!!

I recently underwent a full robotic assisted hysterectomy and I couldn’t have chosen a better surgeon than Dr. Bartels. He explained everything to me in a way I could understand and made the procedure seem like a breeze. I am so happy to have had him as my surgeon. I am two weeks post op and I feel great. You can tell that this Dr. genuinely cares about the well-being of his patients. Thank you Dr. Baretels and your amazing medical team. You guys did an amazing job! I would highly recommend.
