I saw Dr. Akthar a few months ago, and she was amazing. She really listened to my concerns, took care of every issue I had, and was so caring throughout the whole process. I felt truly supported and cared for.

Excellent and confident. I'd recommend her. She put my family at ease during my grandfather's stay at Hmc. Always respectful and able to explain details in an easy to understand manner.

I would not recommend her to family, friends- not even people I don't like. My 94 yr old father was admitted to HMC as an emergency overnight then admitted. This doctor never came to see him when we were told the pulmonologist would see him during the day. After waiting all day, the nurse called her and said the family had questions. She refused to talk to us on the phone. She was having dinner. She was the pulmonologist on call. Despicable. If you want a CARING doctor, see someone else. 0 stars
