I was a patient of Dr. PAPERNIK when he was on staff at Rush Hospital. I tried his replacement and wasn't satisfied at all. Dr. Papernik is an excellent doctor!

I was a patient of Dr. Papernik’s for several years. first as a fibromyalgia specialist and then as my PCP. I was devastated when he moved too far south for me to keep him as a PCP. I have several facial neuralgias (Suicide Disease) and although he isn’t a neurologist, Dr. Papernik seemed to always keep me in mind as he read through medical journals. He was sincerely distressed by my extreme pain and worked harder than any of my other doctors to find something that actually helped. Yes, part of that was an opioid, but it is still considered by pain management to be necessary for me to take in order to have a life. He always took his time with me so I was never upset when he ran late. Really miss him.

Best Primary Care Doctor I ever had! Dr. Papernik treated me for Fibromyalgia at Rush University Medical in Chicago. He really takes time and listens. He is always on top of the latest treatments/medications.

My wife saw Dr. Papernik for over 10 years. She was in a wheelchair a good part of the time due to PolyMyalgia Rumatica which he was able to diagnose. He was able to help her and get her walking after the misdiagnosis of other doctors since 1985. He left ProHealth to go to another medical group in Southbury, CT but we have been told he left there right after he started. Does anyone know where he went and if he is still practicing medicine? We would like to contact him to get a recommendation for another doctor that has knowledge of this condition if he isn’t practicing.

Dr. Papernik had been my Dr since he started practicing in Pro Health in Glastonbury, Ct. I had a chance to meet with him when my Dr. wasn't available to see me. Needless to say since that meeting he became not only my primary Dr. but my whole familys Dr. I can't say enough about him. He is a kind caring man ,so knowledgeable and has so much to give his patients. He listens and explains everything so that you can understand. He was wonderful with my 90 year old mother. I was so sad when he left pro health. I totally understand why he left. But we all will miss him so much. If you are in his area you would be wise to seek him out as your primary dr.!!

He knew as soon as he stepped into the exam room what was going on with me. Nobody ever knew me that well. He is the best physician I ever had, and understood what most doctors don't, CFS and Fibromyalgia are real conditíons, not mental health issues, or drug seeking behavior.

Dr. Papernik is amazing. Not only is he scary smart, it is clear that he also keeps his medical knowledge current. He is a wonderful soul and has the gift of making medical appointments fun! Most of the office staff are friendly and courteous but they are often not very responsive. The waiting room time can also be very long. But Dr. Papernik is well worth these two potential frustrations.

I went to Dr Papernik for many years and had to leave. His staff was in a total mess and many quit. I could not get my meds and Dr P would not respond to phone calls or emails. He is a very good Dr but he would not step up when there was a problem with his staff. Communication is very important to me and none was provided. There has been new staff to replace the old but I'm not sure I would trust him again or go back to the practice. This is very sad because I had to find another doctor.

I thought this doctor was a good one until he showed his true colors. I was under his care for many years, he fired me when he could no longer help me. He never sent me a certified letter nor did he offer help with any of my meds. I had to learn how to wean off opiates, benzos, & an antidepressant. My health was in so much danger & I could’ve died. Only by the grace of God & the wonderful people at The Healing Corner did I make it thru & I’m now free of these chemicals

I am sure he is a very good Doctor but my phone conversation with a staff member was off-putting. I called on a apparently bad recommendation that the Dr. might help me to manage my rare condition. When the person I was speaking to heard my condition she started talking to me like I was a drug shopper and assured me the Dr. would not take on a patient with my condition. Pain medication was furthest from my thoughts, my thoughts are actually about making it to my kid's graduation. Disappointed.

Dr. Papernik is the most knowledgeable, supportive, and conscientious physician I have seen in over 30 years. I've experienced a lifetime of dealing with humiliating and useless Doctor visits . Dr. Papernik specializes in treating patients with chronic and misunderstood conditions such as Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Fibromyalgia, which is rare and gravely needed. He is truly caring and meets each patient at their exact level of understanding by explaining treatment options and decisions.
