Great experience, great doctor
Had a great experience, he was personable, had great bedside manner, he really took time to listen and answer questions I had about my procedure. And was very clear explaining everything about the procedure I was having. I’d highly recommend him and staff again.

Had a pre procedure consultation, despite being busy he answered absoutly every question I had with great detail and even drew a diagram so as to explain something in a way anyone could understand. I was actually suprised to see any hospitality but this was exceptional.
What went well

Arrived late, provided no useful guidance whatsoever (it was actually worse than nothing would have been), provided explanation of a problem I had not claimed to have, interrupted a lot when I tried to tell him what the problem actually was (interrupting to tell me that he heard and understood what I was saying), performed no exam, ordered no follow-up tests, left the *instant* he could do so. Not only would I not recommend him to anyone, I have already warned people to find a different doctor.

The most unfriendly and cold - hearted phycisian the University of Iowa has to offer. Clearly he hates his staff.

Dr Wald is without question, one of the finest specialists I have ever been to. His concern for his patients and bedside manner is fantastic, he strives to make sure you as a patient understand your individual situation and how he can help.

No empathy. No eye contact. No competence. Expensive and coded my visit in a way that my BC/BS Alliance Select health insurance (a good plan) wouldn't pay for it.
