I was a PD patient of Dr. Rana's in Martinez clinic for 3 years. Because of my location and insurance, I was assigned to Mubasher Rana. It was one of the most difficult experiences dealing with him on a monthly basis. From his constant unavailability and his negligence toward patients, I missed many medication times and treatment that would end in near fatal results. He comes off as friendly and confident, but will leave you stranded when you really need him. I just had an open heart surgery and also need dialysis. Mubasher Rana changed my medications and failed to release them so I could actually retrieve them.. That's when Dr. Rana had disappeared completely. No response to previous email requests or phone calls. May I remind you, this is week after my surgery and I still had no medications. When I called his office, they simply pushed me towards contacting his other clinic. When I called the clinic, they had promised that he would get in contact with me, which he never did. Finally,

Dr. Rana does not deserve the title of doctor as he has completely forgotten his oath to do no harm. He abandons his patients in their time of need, and refuses to listens to his patients concerns. If your health condition relies on being able to reach your doctor within a couple of weeks, do not see him if you wish to live. He should be ashamed to be calling himself a health care provider.
