Excellent kidney doctor
Dr Adeniyi was my 90 year old dad's kidney doctor. My dad came to Houston Methodist Hospital West Campus with UTI and Bacteremia. He took care of my dad during his entire about 10 day stay. The most challenging days were the days at the end of the stage when he had to increase my dad's sodium level from 121 to a safe level and in a manner that would not damage my dad's brain. The strategies employed by him (and the lung doctor as well) in the last 3 days of my dad's hospitalization changed the recovery trajectory. He managed to almost normalize my dad's sodium level and get him ready to be sent to a rehab hospital. He also advocated what was the right thing to do for the patient. He stood up for my dad when the hospital tried to discharge him with a sodium level of 121, something that is highly risky and leads to many fatalities, and for that we are forever grateful. We would like to thank Dr Adeniyi from the bottom of our hearts and wish him all the best.
