I developed an injury that led to vague neurological symptoms including chronic pelvic pain that kept me from driving long distances, flying on planes, and sitting at home and work. I went to one physician after another who could not do anything for me. After asking around, Dr. Mekhail's was recommended to me as a leading expert and I travelled from NY State to see him in 2005. Unlike other doctors I saw, Dr. Mekhail had direct experience with symptoms like mine and he performed a diagnostic nerve block to confirm the diagnosis. Most importantly, he suggested that before I started considering a risky surgery that I try physical therapy with a PT specializing in pelvic pain. While it took many months of therapy, this course of treatment is what slowly but surely brought my quality of life back. Unfortunately, I recently developed another chronic pain condition. After over a year of getting nowhere with local doctors, I will be traveling to see Dr. Mekhail again.

I had a scheduled appointment-for 3 months. I traveled from Pittsburgh to Cleveland clinic. The day prior they called to change appointments to different physician- different day. It did not work with my schedule. I kept my scheduled-appointment. Upon arrival- 3 hour drive- I was taken into exam room- the usual blood pressure etc and then his secretary came in and told me he was not seeing new pAtients! I have been patient at clinic for 9 years my physician retired- this man knew I traveled 3hrs

This doctor should not be allowed to see BWC patients. He wrote orders for CT scans and for a second opinion without getting permission from BWC. It took several months to get these done & when I called his office to have my procedure done, all calls went to voice mail. We left several messages and no one returned calls from myself, BWC, or my Doctor. I switched to a different surgeon, This one is from University Hospitals & I've seen her already & she is scheduling me for my procedure.
