I have known Dr. Akhter for over 20 years and her expertise and experience is amazing especially during all my pregnancies. I am so happy to be a patient for so many years and will continue to always look forward to my annual visits with her.

What an amazing doctor . She did my procedure when no other Dr listened to me after many years of treatments to many doctor and they didn’t know what was going on . and then I found Dr Akhter I went her the first time and she knew something was wrong with me and did the perfect job to make it resolve I really wish more Doctor will be like Dr Akhter . I have been a patient of this practice for over 25 years, but my recent postmenopausal issues have reconnected me with Dr. Akhter and she has been nothing but exceptional. Her thorough assessment of my condition, her candid advice and care made it easy for me to make a decision to proceed with robotic hysterectomy. Everything went very smooth and exactly as Dr. Akhter described it to me. I stayed in a hospital overnight, just as she strongly advised, and once the anesthesia worn off I was up and about the next day. I barely took any pain killers (OTC) and took it easy for 6 weeks, as prescribed. Thank you, Dr. Akhter, for always looking after my best interests and taking such a great care of me! I highly recommend Dr. Akhter - her experience and compassion are truly remarkable.

Dr. Akhter is the best OBGYN I have ever had. From general care to pregnancy and the delivery of my first baby. During my first pregnancy, she was always very informative and not only made sure that I was taken care of and felt good, but made sure to include my husband at every appointment and answer any questions he had. She is very thorough in her care and makes ensures that you know that she genuinely cares about you and your well being.

At nearly 70 years old, I have had numerous surgeries, but none equaled my most recent by Dr. Naheed Akhter. From the first visit till now...just one week post surgery. Dr. Akhter is AMAZING!!! She is Board Certified and performs ROBOTIC surgeries. Her office staff is polite, friendly and I never have to wait long. Dr. Akhter was very thorough about explaining EXACTLY how my surgery would be performed, the recovery, etc. She explained, pre-operatively, that my procecdure "could" be a challenging one. Not for her!! I came through with flying colors. Post op was absolutely not one bit difficult nor uncomfortable. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND DR. NAHEED AKHTER. You won't be disappointed!!!

She has decades of experience in every issue imaginable, and gives you her undivided attention. Dr. Akhter absolutely failed me as a first time mother who was in labor. She rushed me and kept threatening me with a c-section not even 2 hours into labor! She was not only lacking completely in any bedside manner, she was very unqualified as well. She only stayed with me for maybe 5 minutes and then said that if I don’t push then she will do a c section. It was the most horrible experience of my life. The amazing nurses were the ones to help me labor and deliver. She wasn’t even there until the very end and then she ended up causing me to get such deep stitches that I wasn’t even able to get out of bed for the next two months. Please do yourself a favor and find someone who actually cares.

Dr. Naheed Akhter is a blessing, an expert and her diagnosis has been so accurate that I never had to consider second-opinion. She pin-points the problem going on and exactly knows how to treat it. I always feel very lucky that I am in safe hands, and proud that I have a best gynecologist who is taking care of me and other patients in the area. She is extremely very knowledgeable, caring, kind, good-listener and always have an empathy for her patients. I would say she is one of the beautiful soul on the earth. Dr. discovered a lemon-size fibroid tumor in my uterus and that I needed to have a hysterectomy. I also was fortunate that Dr. Akhter has been doing this surgery robotically since 2008. I have been her patient for years and trusted her completely. She gave me a YouTube video link to watch a surgery with the physician narrating what he was doing. My husband and I watched it and became clearer with the process. Surgery was scheduled and Dr. was great about what to do and what to expect every step of the way. I stayed overnight in the hospital and mostly slept. When I got home I was surprised at how little pain I had. I took otc pain meds as needed; which was not much. I took it easy and rested for three days and needed the occasional ice pack over my belly. Now six weeks later I can say that this was a great experience and given the choice; the robotic hysterectomy is the way to go!
