Great experience! I can see clearly!
First off, at time of writing this review, it has been 4 weeks since my procedure. I went to the Northampton office for iLasik. Everything went well for me! I went from being near sighted and wearing glasses all the time to having 20/15 vision! No more glasses or contacts for me! The appointments took a while but they tell people that ahead of time to be prepared. They answered any questions I had and gave me instructions to follow post op, which I followed to the letter. Dr. Balin and the rest of the staff were very kind to me. For me, it was a great experience! At the very least, it is worth it to do the consultation to see if you qualify for laser eye surgery. Then you can decide based on what information they give you. I think it's well worth it! Thank you Dr. Balin and staff!

I met with Dr. Balin at her Northampton, Ma., office and was very impressed with her work! I requested treatment for my bilateral cataracts and she did perform the surgery with great skill .... her office workers likewise were very competent and caring ... My vision was restored to a a very acceptable degree and I'm so grateful for Dr. Balin and her staff!!

Dr. Balin and Dr. Brown are amazing doctors. I just had PRK surgery on August 11 and even though my eyes are still healing and adjusting, my vision is so much better already! I've been a prisoner to glasses and/or contacts since 3rd grade (I'm 45). I had been on the fence about vision correction surgery for years. After finally deciding to bite the bullet and go for a consult, my fears were quickly put to rest. The entire staff is very compassionate and thorough. They never made me feel rushe

Waited 35 minutes before being called in. Technician did eye exam. Saw Dr. Balin at end of visit for no more than 5 or 6 minutes. She gave me several diagnoses without explaining them then left abruptly. Very unprofessional demeanor. Definitely not recommended..felt like an assembly line operation.

I made a cosmetic surgery appointment.... staff kept trying to get billing info and I kept saying this was cosmetic and self pay. Then, they tried to do standard screening vision tests... and I kept explaining this was a cosmetic consult .... Dr. Balin was then abrasive and unhelpful.. Never had this kind of experience before with cosmetic eye surgery.

Usual wait in the office while patients proceed to the clinic area. No big deal. First encounter with staff is an eye exam (Jennifer) which is fine. Then drops in eyes and ten min. wait. Dr. Balin comes in and asks a few questions and looks at the eyes through a scope to see if anything is new and reports that all is fine and see again next year. Very pleasant. A busy place but also efficient.

The care I got from Dr. Balin and her staff was excellent. I had cataract surgery with implants of multifocal lenses. Dr. Balin thoroughly explained the process and pros and cons of various alternatives. She was very willing to answer questions and did not rush through the appointments. Her support staff were knowledgeable and friendly. The procedure itself was completely painless and I am extremely satisfied with the results. I would highly recommend her for anyone needing eye care.

Dr. Balin performed cataract surgery on both eyes (one per month). Her staff was very professional, did measurements and tests several times prior to the surgeries to be certain that the new lenses would fit and be the best to correct my vision. For the left eye, which needed a Toric lens due to the great amount of astigmatism, the measurements and visual acuity were extremely necessary. Both surgeries went extremely well. No pain; no problems. I can see amazingly well. Just need readers.
