Dr. Nancy Copeland, MD

My experience with Dr. Copeland was terrible. I always see the leading doctor but he was not available. She seems to be obsessed with a woman's weight and STDs. Instead of including vitamin D testing or Lymes testing( had been recently bit by a tick), she said I didn't need those and tested me for Hep C, wth? It is because of her that I am on this site looking for a new doctor's office. I am very upset that I have to leave Excela Latrobe, but I cannot get in to see my regular doctor anymore, they always stick me with her. Not anymore. I would never recommend her to anyone. Worst doctor ever.

I had a visit with Dr. Copeland. Was offered a vaccine and said not today, and was shot a look. Told me I was “so far into the obesity hole” that I needed to have my cholesterol checked (after I just recently lost 50+ lbs and was almost into the 180s). After asking for birth control pills, was essentially attempted to be talked out of it and tried to sway me to get an IUD/implant (which I explained I did not want). Her supervising Dr. came in and explained I could be on the mini pill due to other medical Factors and then Dr. Copeland proceeded to seem as though she would not prescribe that possible birth control, also asked if I wanted tested for STDS and I told her I was married; but in the same breath states “you seem to be doing fine without the birth control now” I had to re-explain that had only been off 2 weeks due to changing offices. Her behavior was extremely different in front of supervising Dr. I left very upset and uncomfortable.

She called me “obviously overweight”. She kept asking if I wanted an STD panel done after I declined and mentioned I was married. She kept pushing vaccines that weren’t necessary at the moment and didn’t like to accept my decision to wait.
