Dr. Nancy Kaplitz, MD

She’s a wonderful doctor small practice, and wonderful people working there truly professional

I highly recommend Dr Kaplitz. I have been her patient for years. She is knowledgeable and professional. She actually cares about her patients. Her staff have always been amazing and have gone above and beyond.

My husband, Michael, and I recently moved back to Key West. My husband had a seizure on Saturday 1/28 after being seizure-free for 20 years. We called Dr. Kaplitz's office right away and left several messages. (Dr. Kaplitz is one of only 2 Neurologists in the Florida Keys). Michael, finally, was able to get through to the office 3 days after his seizure. The office had made no attempt to return his calls. Michael was told that they were going to make an appointment for him after they checked his insurance. Two days later they called Michael and told him that Dr. Kaplitz is no longer taking any new patients. I am a physician and disappointed this office would be so uncaring and unconcerned. I don't know or have ever met Dr. Kaplitz, but know that if she had seen Michael in her office it would have only taken a few minutes of her precious time. It's not brain surgery, doc. If you have any control over how your practice functions, you should feel ashamed.

I highly recommend Dr Kaplitz to anyone that’s looking for a specialist that is helpful in making sure she covers everything. I have been seeing her for years and I am beyond blessed to have such an attentive neurologist. Not only is she very knowledgeable and professional but she takes the time to go over every question and concern that I’ve had, she makes appointments FEEL personal and you can tell she actually cares about the patient… unlike other doctors that herd people through like cattle. Dr Kaplitz takes the time to get to know you, what you need, and explains things in terms that anyone can understand. Her staff has always been absolutely amazing and comforting, and have gone above and beyond to help me with any issues I have.

Excellent physician and staff

I do not recommend this doc I had several horrible experiences. She could never remember what she said from one appointment to the next even after being reminded. She refused to believe that she had sent me to another doctor for blood work, and adamantly denied it until I provided her with the paperwork for proof. She tried several times to fit some kind of ailment into my diagnosis that didn't exist. During the pandemic I called to make an appointment, she set up a ridiculous virtual office visit, that took two weeks to get, it lasted all of 5 minutes she charged me for it, and then said I would need to make a face to face visit, so that she could take my BP and that visit would be in two more weeks. so actually she did nothing in the virtual visit other than take my money. I told her that I was dissatisfied and would like my money back, she refused to respond and never refunded the money. She totally wasted my time. I called another doctor and got an appointment the very next day.

Dr. Nancy Kaplitz listened to me. This is one of the greatest skills any doctor can provide, especially a neurologist. I have complete confidence in Dr. Kaplitz and I am grateful to her for helping me to continue living my dream.

Dr. Kaplitz is an amazing physician. She is incredibly intelligent, yet humble, and has a way of making her patients feel very comfortable and at ease. From diagnosis to treatment, she is meticuluous, diligent, and really takes the time to explain every detail. A+++

Dr. Nancy Kaplitz is my favorite doctor. She is an excellent neurologist, very easy to talk with. She is caring and compassionate. I never feel rushed, she makes you feel very comfortable about talking about your health. I moved to the Florida Keys from Baltimore as a patient of Johns Hopkins Hospital, when I was referred to Dr. Kaplitz. At my first visit I felt very lucky to have her as my doctor. Dr. Kaplitz is an awesome neurologist.
