Kind and knowledgeable
I was admitted to the hospital last week with what I thought was indigestion. It was actually a heart attack. This doctor admitted me and started me on the road to recovery.

I arrived at Memorial via ambulance with chest pains. I had previously had stress test and it came back normal but the chest pains continued. I had 6 nitros with little relief. All tests in ER didn't show I was having a heart attack but ER doctor felt a need to admit me for further testing. Dr. Michaelis came in ER room, very arrogant attitude, stated that my stress test was normal and they only had one bed upstairs. I was being treated like I was wasting her time. My husband and I both upset, she stated I guess you will get to have a cardioligist consult earlier than your schedule appt. and stated that I might just have to spend night in ER. I was however admitted and sent to cath lab and it was discovered that I had 100 percent blockage in right side of heart and a stent was placed. I love the staff at Memorial but she has no business treating anyone. Her bedside manor alone was horrendous.
