Because of Nancy O'neal I'm in constant pain
Dr. Oneal performed component separation with the use of mesh after I developed a hernia from a previous abdominal surgery. I came out of surgery in agonizing pain which remains today 7 years later. It completely destroyed the quality of my life. When I. Consulted with her about this all she could say is I'm sorry you feel that way and there's nothing more I can do for you. I literally contemplate suicide day and night because the pain is that severe.

THIS WOMAN SAVED MY LIFE! It was 11:30 at night and I was doubled over shrieking in pain. In my body, I knew if I did not get to emergency, I would be in the morgue next. My husband took me to Asante were I was swiftly given an MRI. Dr. Nancy was just finishing surgery and had me under the knife within 20 minutes of the exam. Others doctors have marveled at the precariousness of my situation and the skill of Dr, Nancy, I recovered at Asante Rogue Regional over the next eight days. I have never had such EXCELLENT treatment from every level of ALL the many staff members I was constantly seeing. THANK YOU!

I have seen Dr ONeal regarding breast issues since 2014. During appointments with her she is always very informative. She spends a lot of time with me to be sure all questions and concerns are handled. She explains the pros/cons of each surgical option. Dr ONeal also insists on seeing all of her patients post-operatively, instead of a PA. She cares about me as a patient. I have recommended her to many friends and family members.

Dr. O'Neal gave me the impression that a lumpectomy was an option given I didn't want a mastectomy. She NEVER went further to inform me that a seriously deformed breast was most likely the outcome given the tumor size. I felt not only misinformed but let down by her. After my visit I was riding high, happy and excited for days--until I saw the plastic surgeon. It was a KICK IN THE GUT when he told me that given the tumor size and damage from radiation a mastectomy would be the final outcome. Dr. O'Neal never mentioned the tissue destruction after I asked her about radiation. She implied I'd go from a DD cup to most likely a C, not the AA which the plastic surgeon concluded. Yes, she "tries giving the patient what they want." For me that was no mastectomy. But she failed giving me the rest of the story, the odds. No "We can try a lumpectomy, but it's highly unlikely it will work." No "I'm SORRY, Kris, the end result will most likely be--" something she has to know given her experience.

Never Giving Up in Southern Oregon, OR – Aug 10, 2018

In evaluating my 96 yo mother for a serious hiatal hernia, she patiently went over the options between palliative care and solutions and surgery, and the risk factors and benefits for both decisions, and weighing in the "consent" problems and options with a patient who is displaying some symptoms of dementia and how that would play into any decision I would make as her Health Care Rep and DPOA. She suggested a review by a Palliative Care Team assessment to advise us. Perfect. Stephen Beck

If you need a breast surgeon, look no more. She is personable, smart, kind, sensitive and easy to talk to and the perfect doctor for you. She did my lumpectomy. She explained everything, did the procedure and followup. I am in the best hands! She really cares about her patient. You will love her. She sets a great amount of time aside for appointments to explain everything.

I felt immediate and complete trust in Dr. O'Neal's skill, and compassion. She is warm, kind, intelligent, funny, and serious in exactly the way you would hope a breast surgeon would be. She was clear before surgery and carefully explained my options. In meetings during the weeks after surgery, she was encouraging and concerned and would not accept my being in pain. I would choose her again for surgery and whole-heartedly recommend her to others. My good fortune to have been referred to her.
