We monitor all reviews to ensure they comply with our guidelines and don’t include personal information, profanity, libel, defamation, harassment, obscenity or fraud.

I don't agree with any off the low scores (no names). Dr. Smilley has always been lind and generous with her time and advice. She takes care of both myself and my mother. No complaints here!

Best I've Had
The bad reviews are shocking and don't seem like they could possibly be for the same Doctor. I'm 56 and have had a number of PCPs through the years and Dr Smiley is hands down the best I've known. She caught things my last doctor didn't mention. Important things. She's thourough and thoughtful. Yes she's hard to get an appointment with but they all are. I'm with the others here with the 5 star reviews and honestly think she's above that. I'm never moving on if I can help it.

I've had the best experience for a doctor's visit with Dr. Smiley. She is very friendly and listened intently while taking notes. She showed genuine concern about my health. She doesn't seemed rushed and took her time with me. She always respond to my messages thru My Chart. I would never change her as my PCP. She's a very good doctor and very professional.

The past two times I went for an annual check up, I scheduled it as so. I get an annual checkup per year with my insurance with no co pay. Both times, I later received a bill in the mail. Upon inquiry, I was informed that I was billed as a 'follow up visit' even though it was the only time I had been there that year. The last time I went, I even confirmed before leaving the office that my visit was coded as my annual. I made the receptionist go and confirm with Dr. Smiley. The receptionist went back to speak with her and returned to tell me that it was coded as such, yet the bill came anyway. When I followed up with the front office I was told that again it was coded as 'a follow up' and thus additional charges were applied. I don't know what is going on but certainly some lies and possible fraud. Furthermore, Dr. Smiley has said to me that "my 15 minutes are up" when I had questions during a visit. I feel there is a better way interact with patients even if she is busy. Just cold.

The best PCP I've ever seen, in a lifetime of knowing and dealing with doctors. Knowledgeable, patient-oriented, practical, insightful, and best of all, she focuses on the important conditions and tailors the treatment to the patient, and is has exceptional communication skills. Would give her six stars if I could.

She spends no more than 5 mins with you. How can you be a primary care physician and address your patients medical condition in 5 mins. Plus every time I try to make an appointment with her she is either on vacation or unavailable and would rather refer me to a Straub walk in clinic. Horrible!!

CAUTION: Dr Smiley is a part time physician. Friendly, but not efficient. Being a part time doctor means that communication is difficult and frustrating. Most of the time you communicate via message center and play phone tag with her assistant, who isn't very knowledgeable. This makes Smiley highly inefficient and gives you a headache from frustration that you will not believe. Avoid seeing this M.D. at all costs. Part time healthcare? No way.
