Not thorough
Not very thorough evaluation. 3-5 minute conversation in exchange for some pretty heavy meds. No thanks.

He is great!
Dr. Nasser is the best psychiatrist I have ever seen. He actually listens to his patients and respects them. He is kind and genuine. He does not treat you poorly if you are poor. It may be a low bar to clear but so many psychiatrists are so so awful. Almost as if they entered the profession to abuse patients with immunity. Dr. Nasser is truly a good person and absolutely amazing relative to the vast majority of his colleagues. He has a few blind spots, chiefly that he’s not open to alternative medicines, even those shown effective in peer-reviewed studies. It matters because some very effective OTC in the U.S. supplements, like S-Adenosyl-L-Methionine, are very expensive. My insurance would pay with an M.D. recommend. This is standard in the profession however and not unique to Dr. Nasser. Schedule a bit of extra time because his office is across the street from Prospect Park and a stroll before or after your doctor visit will feed your soul.

My grandmother and I have been seeing Dr. Nasser for many years. He is the most professional and thorough doctor I know. I would recommend him to anyone. He is caring, compassionate and very attentive. In my opinion, Dr. Nasser is the best therapist in Brooklyn. We hope to continue to see him for many more years.

Very unprofessional interactions. Initial appointment taken over phone was so brusque he refused to take my name. Then at the office they refused to take my insurance after indicating they would take it on the phone. Bait and switch. Cash only. I arrived 10 min early to a completely empty but open office. A ghost ship. 20 minutes later the receptionist stumbles in and finishes dressing IN the office. Doesn't get to me for 15 more minutes then is basically rude and indifferent. I walked out.
