A sadistic, controlling beast. Never have I met an alleged doctor with less personality, bedside manner or appropriate comportment as she. Avoid!

A sadistic beast
Baron is a manipulative, angry and sadistic woman who belongs more in a prison as a guard than a caregiver of psychiatric services. If she doesn’t get her way, she will deprive the patient of phone services, visitations and badly needed toiletries. Despite recuperation for a knee replacement, I was denied physical therapy and was disallowed from leaving the hospital room. At present, the knee has regressed to a state of about four months ago. A formal complaint against Baron is in progress through my attorney.

Pill pusher
Made me a zombie when I was inpatient... put me on olanzapine and kept raising the dose until I was on 15mg a day. I've been off of it for a while now thank god and am doing much better. Dr. Baron doesn't take time to listen to what a patient is truly going through. Stay away.

Doesn't care and not enough knowledge
She put my daughter at risk because of her incompetence with prescribing medication. Switched doctors and within a week my daughter was doing better. That tells you something. She is nice, but really doesn't seem to care about the outcome for the patient.

Unprofessional and uncaring
Horrific care at Englewood Hospital psychiatric ward by Dr. Baron. My son was on a 48-hour hold suicide watch. She discharged him after 24 hours because she states he was unruly and threatening (part of the reason he's in a psych ward) because she wouldn't give him nicotine gum that they told him he could have. My son was crying he didn't want to leave and she wouldn't even try any type of compromise or have him sent somewhere else. Nope. Just kicked him out on meds he wasn't used to with nowhere to turn, possibly a danger to himself and society. Insensitive. Uncaring. Unproffesional.

I would not recommend Dr Baron. 2 times I waited for my virtual appointment & she was a no show. Her billing company is horrific. They don't deposit checks when they come in. It may take 2 months. They over bill, then you need to prove you paid, by showing cancelled checks. When you do, they say they never got it & you have to do it all over again. If you are on meds, good luck. You have to call her first to call in the script. If you ran out of pills , you wont get them. She doesn't get back to you, if it lands on the weekend. I was out of pills for 4 days. You can't go that long without meds. HORRIBLE!!! DO NOT USE THIS DOCTOR!!!

I’ve never received such excellent care, treatment, feedback and expert guidance throughout my 50 years with different psychiatrists and / or therapists. Dr. Baron identifies quickly and assists the patient in recognizing their responses and behaviors and offers positive coping skills that are plausible. Her expertise in psychopharmacology and prescribing are both prudent and effective. It is obvious she cares genuinely for her patients and I feel confident in her hands.
