Rushed, uncaring, no improvement
He made me feel crazy when telling him my symptoms. He seemed slightly annoyed and rushed. In some appts, he spoke in circles before what he said became clear-almost as if he himself didn't know what he wanted to tell me. His recommendation ended up causing me more problems than I started with. Then, he gave up on helping me.
What went well
  • Appointment scheduling
  • Staff friendliness
  • Appointment wasn't rushed
  • Wait times
What could be improved
  • I didn't feel respected
  • Didn't listen or answer questions
  • Didn't explain conditions well
  • Didn't trust the provider's decisions

Not impressed.
I was referred to Dr. Ackerman to determine why I have so much mucus in my throat, causing clogging and gagging. He didn't seem to know what he was doing. Three different times he said he was going to prescribe a medication to which I'm severely allergic, and it's flagged in my file. I had to repeat, three times, that I can't take that. After a cursory exam of my ears, nose, and throat, he said I should 'just not cough so much.' Not helpful
