Dr. Nathan Hanflink, DO

I’d been going to Dr Hanflink for six months, and liked the doctor. January’s test showed trace of marijuana and was told by staff to register for medical marijuana. I explained that I don’t use the stuff but my wife does and is registered and that any reaction in my urine sample must have come from second hand smoke. The registration place that they told me to call said that one could not fail urine test from second hand smoke. The Mayo Clinic says yes, that second hand smoke CAN show up in urine tests. I offered to take a lie detector test to prove that I don’t use weed to no avail. I don’t think that Dr Hanflink has been apprised of this situation by staff. I’m investigating litigation.

Bad sciatica attack, was prescribed 6 shot regimen; 3 lower, 3 upper back. First 5 great; accepted my Medicare & Supplement. Sixth shot I got billed $175, when I asked why was told by Cassie 'you said you'd pay what Insurance didn't.' For over a month tried to find what was different 6th shot, they had me sign paper before 6th shot I'd pay if Insurance didn't. No matter how many times I asked, even sending Personal and Confidential request to Dr Hanflick I could NOT FIND OUT WHAT WAS DIFFERENT. Finally I paid the bill and appealed decision thru Medicare. They told me a different diagnostic code used for 6th shot. That the physician DID NOT supply necessary documentation for pymt. Why? I don't know nor could I get an answer, in fact Cassie removed my access to the Athena Health Network. It was same procedure, laid on stomach, told pinch a little, told could leave. 2 weeks later went for prescription before being billed the $175; spent 30 seconds in hallway, handed cup pee gone

My daughter is currently seeing Dr. Hanflink. She is disabled with numerous chronic issues. Our family is very grateful for the excellent care and support she has received.

I got discharged for not having a drug in my system that I was told by the doctor.i didn’t have to take or to only take when needed. He never took me off the drug because I was always asked have my prescriptions changed which they haven’t but I did not know I was supposed to take them all the time. If I would have been takin off the drug I would still be a patient. My advice always see the doctor when you go in. Never thought they would treat me this way! They don’t care about your own only covering there butts and making that money. So sad I thought the times I did see hanflink he actually cared.

I moved here from South Florida after a car accident and Dr. Hanflinks office was quick to get back to me and arrange an appointment. They are always courteous and professional, and the doctor as well. He listened to my concerns and gave me his recommendations. I am very happy.

They were very rude. They asked for a urine sample and I had just used the toilet. So then they proceeded to give me not 1, not 2 but 3 under the tongue drug tests and none of them came with any signs. She wanted to do a fourth and I said no. Obviously their testing strips don’t work. I had plenty of salvia in my mouth!!Again they were rude and I also found Dr. Hanflinck to be rude at the times I saw him for maybe 5 minutes then escorted to the door when I wasn’t done with my questions. Wow, sure hope I don’t suffer a stroke from cutting me off!!! Great doctoring, NOT!!!!

I moved to Florida in October 2014 and one of my biggest concerns was finding a pain specialist who would work with my previous diagnoses and recommended prescriptions. I have been going to Dr. Hanflink on a monthly basis, and I have found him to be professional, willing to listen, and interact concerning evaluation of my condition. His calming presence and straightforward answers have allayed my concerns about finding a capable Dr. I would recommend him unequivocally. His staff was courteous, understanding and very efficient calling in prescriptions and making appointment changes, if necessary. Overall, my experience was extremely positive. R.L. Cousins

Loved Dr. Hanflink BUT Staff… VERY RUDE & condescending!! Most calls screened & not answered, voicemails left but not replied to, repeated messages to Dr. to resolve issues not delivered or acknowledged, Past reviews about rude staff claims the issue was resolved w/ ‘new staff’, but seems to be untrue or some stayed that should’ve been fired bc there’s def toxic ones giving Dr. Hanflink bad reputation bc several others warned me to avoid this practice, & I should’ve listened!! NOBODY should EVER be treated so rudely! NOBODY!!

Pretty sad when your a self pay patient, and you use a discount prescription app to get your meds. Can not afford to pay the whole 90 supply, they break it up in 7 day increments, That is way cheaper. I have called several times to get another 7 days worth of meds, they keep saying ok we will get it taken care of. The last time i called the Office manager was going to take care of it that same day. I follow up with the pharmacy, STILL NO SCRIPT. now no will answer the phone or call back. Very poor staff!!!

Hi I was Recommended by my cardiologist of 20yrs to Dr.Hanflick & I've been in pain management for years.However I must say most wouldn't take your insurance the Waite was always 2 to 4 hours the placed were dirty & the staff was usually short with you. But Dr.Hanflick & his staff was very pleasant & helpful the office is very clean & profedsional, and Dr.Hanflick was very helpful great listener & had compassion for what I've been going through, and the end result he helped me with my pain.Thank you Dr.Hanflick, I would definitely recommend your practice Sincerely Louie

I've been seeing him for over 23 years once a month and wouldn't change. He's a wonderful doctor and very understanding.

After moving here a year ago only to find such incompetence in all of the the medical community, even pharmacy’s, Dr Hanflink was a breathe of fresh air. I was so scared that I would never feel comfortable but he changed my mind. I would highly recommend him.

I have been seeing Dr. Hanflink for many years now and never had a problem ever. Even with the hurricane last year! My refill date was when we still did not have electricity, and he was still there!! He goes above and beyond for his patients. I am on medication that has to be taken exactly as prescribed. I can’t just stop or just take as needed and the staff is very good about making sure I’m ok. Just take your meds as prescribed and there will be no problems!! He really wants to help you!
