A tragic experience
Dr. Moskowitz performed a brain surgery on a family member which lasted 17 hours more than anticipated. During the 21 hours of surgery, we weren’t told what was happening. However, once the surgery was over we were glad to hear he was able to remove my loved one’s brain tumor. Except this was a lie. The tumor was not removed at all. My family and I were all lied to and they continued to be sick after enduring such an invasive surgery which also caused them to lose their peripheral vision. We were fortunate enough that a doctor at John’s Hopkins was able to help us. He fully removed their brain tumor in less than 4 hours with a way less invasive surgery. This experience with Dr. Moskowitz left my family scarred & traumatized. I could say so many things about how my loved one came out of that surgery. But I think I’ve made my point. If you want your loved one to be well taken care of, consider another doctor. I hope this helps save other families from going through what we went through.

Compassionate doctor who goes the extra mile
Nathan Moscowitz. I’ve known Dr. Moskowitz for sixteen years . I trust his advice and am awed by his compassion and his artistic accomplishments, including the book he wrote about his parents. Primarily, I have seen him from time to time for steroid injections and rhizotomies. Of course, woven throughout is his compassion-driven advice. On two occasions, he has left his office to come see me in the ER at Shady Grove. Few doctors would do that. I cannot speak to his skills as a surgeon, but he is a good compassionate man and an inspired artist.

Best Surgeon
My husband had cervical fusion after years of pain and numbness. Dr. Moskowitz did a wonderful job. He is now pain free and numbness gone.

Excellent doctor. He took his time to explain the problem and the various solutions. Then he recommended one of the options for which he recommended another physician to do the treatment. He did not recommend the option in which he would have done the treatment as that option in his opinion had more risks. I would highly recommend him. You may have a long wait in his office as he does not hurry to see his patients. That is a minor inconvenience in the scheme of things.

Great Doctor I am now going to bring my father to try and fix is failed back surgery that another doctor did in Georgia. He doesn't waste time but answers all your questions. I was having same neck problem for 10 years all several different doctors did was spinal injections, nerve abatement, radiofrequency, trigger point test and many more procedures that had absolutely no help. Saw Dr. Moskowitz one time a week later im in surgery to remove a disk and fuze two vertebrae together ( He didn't just say you need surgery he actually explained why and also explained the risk). As soon as I wake up from surgery I am 95% better. Currently im only one week from surgery and the remaining % pain should be gone. I am just thoroughly pleased with him. The 2 doctors visits in office were clean and no wait. I am in my late 30s so I am sure this has something to do with my speedy recovery but still the steroid injections actually hurt worse than the surgery so don't be afraid of my type surg.

Dr. Moskowitz is extremely kind and very knowledgeable. He did lower back surgery just two weeks ago and my recovery has been very successful thus far. His manner is informal and laid back. I highly recommend him.

He operated on my lower back for "Disk Herniation" which was absolutely not needed. Unfortunately I learn about it when it was too late after seeing several prominent neurosurgeons in Washington DC. I kept the MRI before he butchered me, please make sure to have second and third opinion when you see Dr. Moskowitz. I can not comment about his skill on other areas of his work but when it comes to spinal area try to avoid this man, They should take his licences and disbar him.

I could not have asked for a better experience . The pre op , surgery, and post op visits were handled by all in a relaxed professional manner. I would definately recommend he, his office personnel and the surgical staff .

Dr Moskowitz was a gift to my husband who was in excruciating pain and Helen was a miracle worker with an insurance issue and we will be forever grateful and thankful for them both as they had them out of that pain 3 days after initial office visit. Can't say enough and have been singing their praises ever since

In severe pain, waited 2 hours to see the doctor. Dr. Moskowitz I recommend. But the in professionalism, long wait, incompetence and rudeness or the office secretary are not worth it. She confirmed my appointment at the Frederick office. After waiting 30 minutes I called the Rockville office to be informed that she changed my appointment to that office. When asked why I wasn't notified she said she forget to call me back. Completely incompetent office staff
